Excellent resource for self esteem

Very good reading for the therapist and client alike. Great, easy to understand rationale for Self-esteem.He teaches you not only what these are, but how to make them part of your life and carry them through in your day to day living. Without reading this book, I know I would not be where I am today.

Incredible self-discovery book!

This is a book that everyone at all ages and phases of their lives could benefit from. Often we get too caught up in our daily and weekly lives that we forget to take time for ourselves and introspect on how we can improve our own lives.Self love is definitely a journey and this book reminds you to pace yourself and take your time.

Confidence build book.

I'm a psychotherapist and I have gotten a lot out of this book personally and have recommended it to a lot of my clients. It isn't new by any means, but the information in it is timeless. I highly recommend this book to just about everyone. It can really help you make sense of your lives and help you feel good about yourself, in real ways, not in just shallow affirmations

Great advice, great listen

This series of teen workbooks is one of the most valuable resources I have found for counseling my at risk teenage students! I purchased the anxiety, anger, self esteem and overcoming negative feelings handbooks and I was honestly nervous. So many of the tools avaliable to address teen needs are dated and are taken as nothing but a joke by those they are designed to help.

Another excellent Brandon book

I think at this point I have read all of them (some twice). This one is a bit more philosophical than some of the later ones. It was his first book and sets the foundation for his life's work. Very important for those who want to better understand human psychology.

Really Understand the Nature of Human Psychology

I always knew I had problems and I should not feel the way I felt but I thought it would go away eventually. Well, it never did. So, I finally gave in and - after a little encouragement from a a friend- I started counseling. During my first session, the counselor recommended this book, so I ordered it for app. I LOVE doing work that improves my life, but this was the hardest work I've done so far, yet the most rewarding. As other reviewers have said, you MUST write in the book, and DO THE WORK in the book in order to get something out of it.

In my opinion this is a fantastic book to start with for anyone beginning their own personal development journey. The 5 pillars of self esteem lays the foundation for making any other book you listen , technique you try, or endeavor you take on more successful. One can't help but start building their self esteem when they consciously put the 5 pillars into practice.

This book discusses crucial current issue mainly people specifically newer generations suffer, which is low self-esteem. The author did a great job explaining what actually self-esteem entails and that it is not in isolation from other important personal traits as self-assertiveness and responsibility for example. additionally, it contains plenty of exercises to do in order to enhance each of the mentioned six pillars.

Best Purchase Ever!

The two I use the most are this one and the Anxiety Workbook for Teens. I work as a therapist in a high school setting and I find that this book has a lot to offer. There is a diverse collection of activities. Some are more "juvenile" than others and my teens don't always relate. However, the vast majority of this book is right on point with addressing esteem beliefs. Some of my students even request opportunities to complete activities in the Self-Esteem Workbook for Teens.
