Summary

Who would make a better fiancée in a pinch - An actress? A shopkeeper? Or a school teacher?

Damion Templeton, Viscount Woodhurst, has 14 days to find a fiancée. It's the least he can do to make his dying grandmother happy. Of course, she doesn't need to know it's a temporary ruse. An actress should do nicely.

Miss Alix Adams falls off the wall of the local school while rescuing her young student from a tree. Damion rides by, and the curtain of fate rises on a new stage plan.

Secret Bride is the story of a young lady who makes a deal with a stranger. Because when you're penniless and an orphan, money can be so tempting.

Romantic, fun, easy to read - don't miss this one!

Where does Secret Bride rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is my first experience of an audiobook and I was smitten! The content of the story - so beautifully narrated by Doro Jillings - is a wonderful mix of romance, humour and intrigue! I listened to the whole story in one sitting on a rainy day which is unusal for me but I genuinely couldn't put it down!

Who was your favorite character and why?

The gradnmother because of her wile!

Entertaining plot

What did you like best about this story?

The concept of this book was amusing, with well-defined characters

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I liked the scene with the protagonist stuck on a wall, unwittingly meeting her beau for the first time.

Any additional comments?

As yet I have only listened to the first third of this book so I will only comment thus far. The story up to that point has flowed well and I LOVED the intial few chapters. The characters have developed nicely and I found it easy to imagine the scenes and interactions. An entertaining romance and I found myself rooting for the leading lady and man. Well narrated.
