This is amazing! I love hearing these enchanting stories, or rather Scottish legends. Some of them almost feel like you're listening to an incredible fantasy novel rooted in the times of castles and magical creatures, like fairies. At the same time, stories are grounded in truth, passed down through generations. I love the lightness and mystery behind the legends, as well as the fun inspiration to learn the stories/history of such a magical place. What a phenomenal series to listento . I could listen to these stories again and again as an adult! As I kid, I would have been enamoured!

We listened to this book while driving to various activities and enjoyed discovering all these lovely Scottish legends so near yet so hidden. Of the 23, we only knew 2 (Nessie and the stone of destiny) I would recommend this book to anyone interested in discovering more about the Scotland and its history.

Bought this on a journey down from the Highlands for children to listen to. So far have learnt very little but have had a lot of lecturing about what we might learn from each story. Feel extremely short-changed and disappointed!
