About this listen

A common cold, turning the world upside down within a short-few years; three events happening, one, from the city of Tacoma, Washington, another, coming from the city of Seattle; the last one, coming from an aircraft carrier, while being deployed out to sea, all three tales, speaking about a cold before turning people into something created by a weird outbreak, a disease; something unknown? People must try to co-exist, the ones who were not taken by the disease, compared to the people who are living with it!

I really enjoyed the originality of Scenic Nights! The idea of people trying to coexist after an outbreak, rather than just focusing on survival, was a refreshing take on the genre. The atmosphere was eerie, and the details about Seattle, Tacoma, and the aircraft carrier were fantastic. That said, some of the twists felt a little predictable. I was hoping for a few more surprises along the way. Despite that, the storytelling was engaging, and Jodan Knightley’s narration kept me hooked. A very good listen, just not quite a 5-star for me!

"Scenic Nights" is an electrifying blend of sci-fi and human drama. The intertwining tales from Tacoma, Seattle, and the aircraft carrier are brilliantly paced, creating a mosaic of fear, resilience, and moral complexity. Jodan Knightley’s narration is hauntingly immersive—every character feels alive, every heartbeat of tension palpable. The concept of a common cold morphing into an existential threat is terrifyingly original, and Barrios and Kvirikashvili masterfully explore coexistence in a fractured world. A must-listen for fans of cerebral thrillers!
