About this listen

As the new custodian of the ancestral home, Treweham Hall, the divinely handsome Tobias Cavendish-Blake soon discovers exactly what he's inherited. Not only a fabulous estate but mounting debts and imminent financial disaster.

Megan Taylor has also inherited property, but rather less than Tobias.... She is delighted to be bequeathed her grandmother's country cottage in the village of Treweham and decides to make a fresh start there, taking a job in the village pub.

When Megan meets Tobias, the attraction is clear, but she is determined to resist his charms, put off by his reputation and that of his best friends - the rakish Seamus Fox, son of a millionaire race horse trainer, and dastardly jockey Dylan Delany. But Tobias is a hard man to resist....

This story is absolute drivel and should have a condom over it to stop the drivel getting out, which the male characters seem to not bother with , condoms that is. It makes the females read like wanton bimbos and the men lecherous morons. It’s like a poor mans/woman’s erotic fantasy with no decent story line to back it up. In all my reviews I have never criticised the orator but this lady doesn’t seem to know where full stops and commas are and I found myself wondering where I was and who was listening to whom. Its a definite miss for a good read. Please note this is only my opinion.

I loved the characters of Tobias and Megan and their love story interwoven with village life and gossip. This book is pure fiction and makes a great holiday read, full of high jinx and yet a hint of the reality of owning a huge estate. The twists and turns in Megan’s life keep you entertained and the rakish Dylan is the man you love to hate but end up wanting him to succeed anyway. The lottery winners were a bit superfluous for me except as a prop for Tobias making money initially but that didn’t spoil my enjoyment of the book
