Summary
When Chef Xander Bridges leaves the warmth and safety of his car on a cold, stormy night and approaches a stranger, the last thing he expects to find is a future. He’s wanted to leave his job for a while, but with no good opportunities on the horizon, he’s been stuck in a long, painful rut. But when he befriends the stranger viciously tearing up his own vineyard, Xander discovers something inexplicable. Maybe he’s not the bitter, sarcastic man that everyone, including himself, has endured for years.
Maybe, with someone like Damon in his life, he could be something more. Something better.
Damon Hess doesn’t just want more, he demands it. With his alcoholic past, there are no gray areas for him. Only black and white. In love or not. Sober or drunk. But the chance meeting with Xander opens Damon’s eyes, and gives him a vision full of something he hasn’t experienced in years: hope.
Hope that he can expect companionship and affection, hope that he doesn’t have to grapple with his family’s questionable Napa legacy any longer, and most importantly, hope that there’s a future worth believing in. But the longer he and Xander spend cultivating that future, the more Damon realizes that the key is so much simpler than he ever imagined - it’s Xander.
Savor Me is an 80,000 word contemporary m/m romance starring an irascible man with a soft, gooey marshmallow center and another who knows he likes men, but has never been with one before. It is third in the Kitchen Gods series, but can be listened to as a standalone.

So good and so emotional!
Two strong characters, chemistry and LOTS of emotional baggage. All of it in a restaurant kitchen! A recipe for a masterpiece! I was waiting anxiously for Xander's story and I was not disappointed in the least!
These guys are absolutely perfect for each other and I read the book with emotions running high and with a bated breath! Brilliant and a total must read for lovers of strong characters!

3.5 stars
I liked the story for the most part! I thought the characters were interesting but I found myself not liking them at all multiple times during the book but they always came back around. I found the story pretty engaging and I liked that it was set in Napa. The narration was okay but a little to aggressive and always seemed like it was at a “10” with little breathing room. The characters were a little on the angry side for a lot of the book so I understand why it was performed that way it just wasn’t my cup of tea! Overall a good listen.

Lovely...
I absolutely loved Xander and Damon’s story! The plot is like the field in the book-rich and delightful. I found myself wrapped in Bolden’s words and Baker’s voice. I absolutely enjoyed the narration. Truly a book not to be missed.

So good
A bit angsty, a bit sweet, surprisingly romantic and oh so steamy! This was another fantastic story from the Kitchen Gods series. I loved that Xander and Damon were a bit different, even deeper characters. They both had their own baggage and demons to battle but they were willing to fight tooth and nail when their right person came along. These two had instant chemistry which bloomed into so much more. I loved their journey, success and love. A great story!

Fighting their demons
This is a great addition to a wonderful series! Reading the previous books, I got a certain opinion of who Xander was. This book tells more of his story, and gave me the opportunity to see him in a broader view and maybe reconsider my opinions. Like his cohorts, Xander has dreams, disappointments, and some personal baggage. Damon does too as he deals with the life-long battle of alcoholism. Both men have emotional baggage, but they feel an instant attraction, and chemistry flares between them. I loved the character-building Ms. Bolden does here, making Xander and Damon real and relatable. As a listener, I wanted to see them grow and change and fill the holes in each others' lives. This story is my favorite in the series so far!
It took me a little while to get used to the narrator. At first it seemed like he was shouting out the story, but once I got used to his delivery, I was able to sink into the story.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Savor Me
Savor Me is the third in the Kitchen Gods series by Beth Bolden and although it has reoccurring characters appearing from previous books can be read/listened as a stand-alone.
Personally I have listened to the first, Bite Me and this, Savor Me and much preferred this book.
It deals with the difficult topic of alcoholism but in a very sensitive and intelligent way.
The romance is realistic and has its ups and downs due to insecurities on both side but ends in a HEA.
A good, well written romance with, interesting characters, well worth a listen.
