Summary

Joal Derse Dauer was donating blankets at a local no-kill shelter when an injured and despondent dog caught her eye. With three "fur babies" already at home, Joal wasn't looking to adopt another dog. But there was something special about Sadie....

remarkable story, but...

You have to admire the determination of Joal in deciding to try and rehabilitate a terribly injured dog. The story was very engaging at the start but by half way through I was flagging with all the treatments described. Some of these were clearly efficacious, but others seemed pretty new agey. The last few chapters became somewhat repetitive and I confess that I skimmed quite a bit. More than a bit sad that the dog project seems to have damaged family relationships.
