For me this was one of the best of the series!

Ian a half dragon half demon shifter and Fiona a full dragon shifter had been lovers and was intending to mate 50 years ago but was cruely ripped apart by Fiona's family who considered Ian to be inferior due to his demon blood. Ian had been told that Fiona had mated another dragon meaning there was no future for them so he left the area, little did he know that Fiona refused to go through with her familys plans so they locked her in chains for a year and by the time she was released Ian had well and truely disappeared.


There was plenty of action going on with more story telling and we got to catch up with some of the couples & characters from the previous stories.

You never truly know where the plot is going to go! Love the twist in this one. The characters are great and keeping the same ones interwoven adds enjoyment, they are always developing and have their own little plots pootling along. Just love it. New genre for me, fell into it by chance but don't regret a moment of it!!

What did you like most about Saved by Darkness?

I think I have probably read almost all of Katie Reus's books. Each one becomes my favorite as I start a new one. I had read this one before I listened to the audible version so I was familiar with it. That added to my pleasure in listening to the recording. Second readings of a book always fill in gaps of memory and increase absorption of the text. it was a very enjoyable experience. It was exciting sexy and romantic with just a touch of sadness that thankfully did not last long. Another winner in my estimation.
