Doctor Jasmine Marks is going back into hell.

Twenty years ago, Marks went into the rainforest with a group of researchers led by Doctor Elaine Fell, to study the extraordinary climate and see if it could be used in agriculture. Now, they're sending her back in. A plane crash, a rescue mission, a race against time and the environment to bring out the survivors. But there are things Marks's corporate masters aren't telling her. The Zone keeps its secrets, and so does Doctor Fell . . .

When I added this book to my library there was only one review. It was positive and the "about the listen" sounded interesting so I went for it.

Unfortunately there are long drawn out pieces of the story which I felt did not really add to the overall narrative. The story was a bit boring. The narrator isn't a bad performer, but initially her delivery seemed a bit "uninterested".

This was very entertaining. Very much like a found footage horror movie. nothing gruesome happens, but it builds the anxiety and borderline panic of its main protagonist throughout.
The narrator captured the unease, anxiety and full blown panic very well. My only gripe is that the pitch of her voice was a little too high for comfortable listening with my old ears. One day somebody will put a pitch control into audible
