I really enjoyed this bratva/mafia romance. This was a new series for me and I will definitely be checking out others. That said I don't feel I was missing anything vital to the couples story starting with this book.

A great blend of action, steam, angst and banter. The narrators did a great job with the story.

I’ve been waiting for Sasha’s book seeing what his crazy would come up with and he didn’t let me down . Loved his obsession with Blanka and even though it took 7 years they got their HEA .

Eva Winners delivers more “Belles & Mobsters” greatness, and this book is just as amazing and exciting as the other books in the series that I have listened to and loved. This book brings us Sasha Nikolaev and Branka Russo’s story and wow, what a story it is, complex and multilayered. Sasha served with Mia, he was protective of her, but her demons got the best of her and she made him promise to watch over her younger sister, Branka and brother Alessio. It was a promise he took to heart and followed through on, but always keeping his distance. He fell head over heals for Branka, but she is still young and finding herself. He reappears in her life a few years later and Branka wanted him too, but he felt the timing was not right yet, though he asked her to wait for him and he would wait for her. Wow, just wow, this romance was seven years in the making and a lot goes on during that time, but she continued to wait for him. She gives up on him after seeing him with someone else. Her brother wants her to marry, and she tells him she is ready, and he gives her choices. When Sasha finds out her pending nuptials, he goes ballistic and calls in his favors, starting with Alessio and then others. Her marriage to anyone but him is not happening. Sasha is one of my favorite characters, he is so intense, and he knows what he wants and is determined to get it. Hearing his backstory of his childhood was heart-rending, and so was Branka’s, her father was an evil man. The writing, plotting and world building are fantastic and so are the character growth and development. There is never a dull moment in this book and it has the perfect balance of drama, angst, some twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a romance years in the making. Eva Winners, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧And for the wonderful narration, Brooke Daniels and JF Harding were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and do so with a complete understanding of who they are portraying, giving each a voice that suits that character and was believable in every role they played. Brooke Daniels nailed it as Branka, grasping every side of her personality, from her vulnerabilities to her strength and determination. JF Harding’ Sasha was perfection, from his possessive alphatude to his protectiveness. Both were just as amazing performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another outstanding listen.

Eva Winners continues her Belles & Mobsters series with another amazing story! Each one as good as the last, I always think it is now my favorite and Sasha is my new chosen one! Sasha has made a promise to Mia. If something happens to her, he is too look out for her little sister, Branka and brother, Alessio. He takes his oath seriously and when the time comes, he is all in. Branka is young, too young to be involved with but Sasha knows she is his. As time goes on, and he watches over the two, he makes it known to Branka that when it's time, they will be together. When is time? Seven years after he starts his watch, he knows it's time. But she wants nothing to do with the man. Why? I will not tell you, but I can say nothing between these two is easy except their feelings. I love this story for a couple of reasons. First, Sasha is a mess. Yes, he is blond, blue eyed and gorgeous, dangerous and protective. But definitely a mess. There is nothing better than a broken hero. Next, Branka is feisty. She doesn't take his attitude lightly, and it leads to fantastic foreplay and banter. And lastly, the idea that he knew she was his soulmate makes me swoon. And while this is a fantastic romance, it also has fast paced action, the family meddling and lots of egos. It's a great listen!

The storytellers of this are Brooke Daniels and JF Harding and could not have been better cast. Daniels immerses herself into the spunky Branka. She starts young and ages her as time goes on, lets her mature and find her way with the nuances in her voice. Harding plays the Sasha the protector, the broken, the dangerous...his voice finds the perfect sound for each and makes his emotions easy to navigate. I loved this team and enjoyed the listen.
