Christine Feehan at her best!!

This is my favorite of the Drake Sisters books, followed by Joley's story. This is another author who creates a world (and town) I would love to live in. Sea Haven is so perfect, where everyone looks out for everyone else and what a great law enforcement team, Jonas and Jackson, WOW!! I love Jonas and Hannah and that Jonas loves her NO MATTER WHAT!! Great love story without being too corny. Alyssa Bresnahan was, in my opinion, the perfect choice for the narrator as well. Thank you Ms. Feehan for bringing us another winner and thank you Audible for having her books!!

Safe Harbor

This was a wonderful book, and I am glad that this one finally came out and is sold by Audible! The narrator did an excellent job with emotions, and the voices remain true throughout the series.

Worst main characters EVER!

The narration was fine. It was the writing that left me cold. To be fair, I only made it to chapter 4 before I just couldn't stand to read anymore. Hopefully, for you readers who have the fortitude to read further, the two main characters will develop at least some redeeming qualities. Jonas, the male "love interest" (?) is selfish, domineering, arrogant, abusive and leans more towards "Fatal Attraction" than love. Hannah, his "great love" is so one-dimensionally timid that he gives her panic attacks. This dysfunctional relationship is neither sexy nor healthy and, for me, unredeemable. I disliked this couple so much that I have removed all books by this author from my wishlist. I only wish I hadn't wasted my time on the first 4 chapters.

Not as good as anticipated. 3.5 overall.

I listened to this series some time ago, I realized there were a few books that I haven't reviewed. So here we go. There has been a build up for this couple's story from the beginning of the series. To me it was a bit of a letdown, but it wasn't a bad book. I was a bit tired with Hannah's ability to only see herself as ugly even before she was attacked. Not that I didn't like her character although I tend to like the strong willed types better. On a whole I like this series but it is unlikely that I will relisten to them. I will not be reading the spin-off series Sisters from the Heart I tried the first two and they didn't grab my attention enough to continue. I liked book four and six best in the Drake Sister series. I did enjoy the Ghostwalker series by this author. Narrator does a good job.

Tiresome characters making silly decisions.

I've enjoyed this series generally, but, these two characters are the silliest of the lot!

Only okay

If you like Christine Freehan books, then you will probably like Safe Harbor because it is her usual cookie cutter offering. Same plot and usual angst and ridiculously over the top sex scenes. It is a pity that Freehan does not have a better talent for story telling. She does create interesting characters, but then fails to make the books very interesting. Hannah and Jason are both likable people, as established in previous books, but the story falls short, in my opinion.

Great Story but overly drawn out

I love the Drake Sisters books. I know the drama of the attack and how it affected Hannah was so important. I just thought that how she was dealing was important but was drawn out way too long as far as her internal turmoil. I got kind of tired of reading some of her feelings of her looks and self loathing and guilt over everything and wanted to skip a bit.

I loved some of the twists and extra plots, they made a big difference. I know the character of Hannah is basically that of a person who is not really happy with herself, her life, and is irritated when others are so forceful of their desire to make her do what they think is best for her. But even that was kind of overdone.

Overall, the story was great as well as the narration.

Should be 0 Zero stars

This was listed as Thriller. The story idea was a good one but did not follow it up with a well organized story. The story fell short Eveytime something remotely interesting happened . Ms Feehan spent too much time on internal emotional monologues restated previously and too little time developing the truly interesting story. Unfortunately I would not read any of the other stories in this series

Love the storyline except for the very graphic sex

So this is the 3rd book in the series that I've listened to and it will be my last Feehan book period. The story itself in all 3 books were riveting, but I the graphic sex scenes which go on and on for at least a whole chapter borders on porn and that's not my cup of tea. This book in particular was the most offensive to me and I fast forwarded through those sections.
It's not worth my time investment. I'm no prude but this just went too far and ruined the book for me.
