Summary

I crawled into Ryan Jensen’s bed that first night by accident. I barely knew him. I thought it was his sister’s bed - her room. It took seconds to realize my error, and I should've left... I didn’t. I didn’t jump out. I didn’t get embarrassed. I relaxed.

And that night, in that moment, it was the only thing I craved. I asked to stay. He let me, and I slept. The truth? I never wanted to leave his bed. If I could've stayed forever, I would have. He became my sanctuary. Because - four hours earlier - my twin sister killed herself.

Ryan's Bed

Again I went in blind and wow what I ride, this wasn’t anything like any of the other books I have ready by Tijan.

I don’t know if it was Therese Plummer’s narration or the fact this story just sucks you in. But I couldn’t put it down. I was enthralled.

Unlike the last book, I read where the College aged characters were immature. These High School teenagers were mature. Did they do dumb things? Sometimes yes but you expect that from seniors in high school. Acting out and being D I n K s that is just normal for teenagers.

The subject matter is pretty heavy, and I was so surprised with how well the story was told and explained it felt so very real to me. I had a few moments of emotion, not like that really isn’t new for me I am a big softy but this story will pull at your heartstrings and the ending.. POWERFUL.

Therese Plummer is AMAZING there are no other words to describe her performance in this book but that. Thank you for your incredible talent.

One of Tijan's Better Books!

This book was typical of Tijan's writing style and based on high school aged kids, but it was not her typical style of spoiled, over indulgent children with daddies black amex cards. The writing was serious, the subject intense, the struggle, therapy and hurdles were real and not made lightly. Truly one of her better bookd by far. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a girl meets boy, boy has morals and values, girl has some issues but so does the boy and together without harming the other - they come out from the darkness into the light.

Unexpected Twists

This book was achingly beautiful and sad. The journey and emotional rollercoaster Tijan created is unmatched.

Ryan's bed is a safe haven

Mac's twin sister has killed her self! Her parents left her and her little brother with a family, none of them really know. In the middle of the night, she confused the doors and landed in Ryan's bed where she found peace.

So it began!

Instead of mourning together, the family is falling slowly apart. The little brother gets shipped to a boarding school, the parents bury themselves in work and they don't want to look at Mac because she looks the same as her sister but isn't.

Ryan helps her deal and slowly heal, but first she falls apart.

The narration is great!
Therese Plummer is perfect as Mac. She gets her attitude perfect without sounding monotone!

Racey Juvenal Fiction

Not only does this book tackle the hard subjects head on it is a sexual awakening as well. There is an air of mystery up to the last page and twists that come out of no where!

hmmm...

I don't want to bias your opinion with my own because this really was a good story. I always seem to enjoy whatever web Tijan crafts. I'm just a little conflicted with how this one ended. It felt abrupt to me and left me a bit jangled. Maybe that was the point. But I still deducted a star for it. Although it was probably balanced out by the performance score since the narration was spot on. I definitely had the impression of high school voices throughout despite the sometimes heavy subject matter. Speaking of which, I don't think I'm spoiling anything by noting that if suicide is a trigger for you, you might want to pass on this one. The topic features prominently. Happy listening! 😊

Great Story & listen🎧 Heart-Wrenching & Beautiful!

4.5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a realistic and well written story, one that tugs at your heart. Suicide is a difficult subject yet Tijan created this beautiful story of what it does to those who are left behind. She shows what it does to loved ones, friends it also shows how others respond to them or how they do not know how to respond. This book was raw and emotional but it captivated me from start to end. And what an ending it was. Tijan captures teenage life, the fun times of those years, the angst and the struggles including peer pressure, popularity, bullying and insecurities. Thank you for this great read.

I listened to the Audible edition, Therese Plummer a wonderful narrator and voice performer. She brings the characters and their story to life from the pages to your ears. Thank you for a great listen!

A must read

This is the second time with this book. First time I read it. This time I listened to it.
Both times just as awesome as the last.
I felt like I was there. I felt all the pain. All the heartache and all the love.
I would highly recommend this book in both audible and in writing. In my opinion it’s a must listen.

Unexpected

I loved it. It wasn't what I expected and not your normal romance but wow. Anyone dealing with loss and grief especially teens would benefit from reading this story.
