Summary

I thought I knew where my life was going. Which goes to show that we don’t know anything.

I had the perfect life. A husband who loved me, getting the promotion as the head of our cardiopulmonary department, and a life plan that gave me purpose. Then, with one fell swoop, everything was destroyed. Finding your sister in bed with the love of your life puts things in a different perspective. Discovering she’s stealing your dream makes you question every thought you’ve ever had.

I lost everything except my medical career. The one place where my life wasn’t falling apart around me. Until it was. Dr. Eric James was our ER physician, and maybe if I hadn’t had a life plan, I’d never have noticed him in the way a woman discovers a man. Maybe I’d never known what passion was before him. I came to him in a moment of weakness, and he mended a part of me I thought was broken forever. Life has a way of screwing up even the best things that have ever happened to you.

Trauma. When reality crashes into a fantasy, sometimes it’s hard to catch your breath. I knew the right thing to do, but giving up when a person’s life was in my hands went against everything I was taught. Love doesn’t follow the right rules. Unlike a medical emergency, there is no plan for survival. What I needed was a prescription for love that wouldn’t destroy the tiny part left of me still fighting to live.

Doctor Drama

Alexa finds her husband in bed with her sister and the drama begins. Eric works at the hospital and is attracted to Alexa. They begin a relationship but then the pregnant sister dies and the soon to be exhusband can't control hisself and takes the family especially Alexa on a downfall of crazy drama. You are rooting for Alexa to get her happiness. Good Narration

HEA, no cliffhanger

I enjoyed this book but I didn’t really care for Lexi’s character. She was back and forth and made me crazy. I don’t think Eric should have put up with so much of her crap. Narration was great. HEA. No cliffhanger.

Moving On

Rx for Love by Michelle Hughes has some unexpected twists. This book is a second chance at love where the main characters each have some baggage, and there is plenty of angst. Melissa Stiletto did a great job bringing the characters to life. Thank you Audiobook Obsession for giving me this book, I really enjoyed it.

Rx for Love

There are definitely a couple twists in this book that you may or may not see coming but it is definitely worth a listen. Both main characters get a second chance at love when they both felt that their chance was over. I loved listening to this book. Narration keeps you entertained all the way through.

It all happened

Thinking that something will happen and so it did, everything happens in one book. It was a quick listen. Was the first time listening to a book by this author it was good.

Was my first time listening to this narrator she did well there was a few minor issues with the production but it wasn’t too distracting. I definitely think with a few more books under her belt she will be awesome. She really gave the characters their own voices.

Rx for Love

This is my first book by Michelle Hughes. While Eric and Alexa were likable, their actions and decisions at times were very annoying. The storyline was interesting but there was just a bit too much angst for me. Melissa Stiletto did a great job bringing this story to life.

I Even Cried a Few Tears!!! 😥

This wasn't your average day emergency room type book. "Rx for Love," follows one doctor and respiratory healthcare professional as they fall in love.

The author Michelle Hughes wanted to show their other side; when they deal with home and family, the same stuff we have to juggle.

The two main characters were intimate quite regularly. (LOL)
One of them experience a sudden death, and the other is still in love with a past. There's a surprise and blessing coming to them both.

Michelle Stiletto was the narrator for this book, and I believe she did a wonderful job.
You have your laughter and some smiles. Then, there's your fears and unfortunate pain. With that all being said, I do recommend this book to others.

Angsty read

I would give this story a 3.5 because there were a multiple moments when I had issues with the female heroine. Alexa is having a bad time- her sister slept with her husband and she has to figure out how to move on. One day, she goes out with her friends from work, including Eric James, the ER physician. They have a lot of chemistry but Alexa has to overcome her depression and angst. This led to many issues with their relationship and I’m not a fan of the way she acted throughout, which was generally immature and indecisive.

Melissa Stiletto did a good job with the narration- she did a good job differentiating between characters. Good pacing and she did a good job showing emotions during her reading.

A whirlwind

Wow, this book had quite a lot of emotional whirlwind. A lot of things have happened. Betrayal upon betrayal from her husband, her sister and even from her mother, Alexa's just had enough. Eric seemed to be just what a doctor perscribed for her broken heart. Than some more twists and turns happened and even Eric turned out to be somewhat an elephant in the china store. Ups and downs from the first chapter, poor Alexa, it's no wonder her head just spun around while her whole world turned upside down. I don't know how I would have behaved in similar circumstances but for sure I hope I'd have had better friends than Alexa.

Melissa Stiletto did a good job with this narration. The quality of the recording could have been a tad better but still was enjoyable.

Tampa Bay Hospital

I really enjoyed this story. This was a first fro me by Michelle Hughes. I love that the book is set in Tampa so I am a bit biased. I also love that the book isn't your typical Doctor/Hospital romance. Yes they both work in the hospital and there are plenty of scenes (if not the majority of scenes) that take place in the hospital itself but its not a Gray's Anatomy reenactment or something like that.

Audio by Melissa Stiletto was very well done. I was really by the performance.

Prescribe me what she’s having

A sweet story with enough drama and action to make it interesting. There were a few moment where I wanted to be like girl, tag me in I’ll make this decision for you but I’m glad I saw this through to the end. Sometimes a girl just needs a solid HEA.

I would recommend this for fans of medical dramas, Doctor romance, protective alpha types, Christian erotica( I don’t know if that is a genre I am making up but I think it fits)and fans of HEAs

cute story

This wasnt a bad story. I think it could have been better with a bit stronger heroine. I found her weak. I had hard time liking her. She couldnt stand in her feet without being negative. The plot had a few holes. sometimes was it really necessary to bring back things that were resolved. other times,it skipped over important things.
ex, mom faints, then does chest compressions. no where did it say she wasnt breathing. nothing about divorce but getting remarried.

the narrator was great. she kept me listening to the story.

overall I would like to seen this story better edited, proofread.

but dont let my thoughts deter you from giving this a listen.

loved the narration

I've been a little uncertain how to write this review. First, the narration was incredible. I've never listened to Melissa Stiletto before but she did an amazing job. I loved the medical talk as I work in the hospital system and participate in emergency/code response and for the most part, it was very accurate which was nice. There were a couple of times that I felt wouldn't have happened but otherwise spot on.
For the story itself, I had a hard time finding it believable and didn't really love the main character all that much. I think the author was trying to convey that Alexa was struggling to find herself and learning how to make decisions for herself and not for others but I really wanted to slap her a couple of times. I'm not sure I would have gotten over my fear of Eric's temper as easily or quickly as she did. And I didn't love that Logan was potentially going to take advantage of her drunk request - that's not consent in my mind, when it appeared that he was more sober. Although I do like the friendship they developed later and that she was able to help heal the rift between him and Eric.
It does have a HEA and again, loved the narration. But the story itself had its ups and downs for me.

Just what the Doctor Prescribed but more pleasant

I know pretty lame headline, lol. I received this audiobook free as an Audiobook Obsession Reviewer for an honest review. I really enjoyed this Tampa Bay Hospital story. Seeing your husband in bed with your sister is enough to derail any one. Is Eric a rebound for Alexa, or is it real. The turmoil of their relationship tests their strength. This story has just the right amount of "steamyness" but not too much. The author did a great job with developing the characters. There are happy parts and sad parts, enough to keep your attention. The narrator did a great job with the characters and the story.

Good Story

This was my first Michelle Hughes's book. This is the first book in the Tampa Bay Hospital. Alexa's story is filled with twists and turns, and a lot of drama. Alexa is lucky to have Eric by her side. He is a great character, supportive and protective. I love the ending. Melissa Stiletto did a great job with the narration. #AudiobookObsession

Rollercoaster ride of emotions

Alexa has it all: a dream job, good parents and sister, and a husband. But all of this comes crashing down when she catches her husband in bed with her sister. Eric, a doctor at her hospital, comforts her and they become involved. But he, too, has baggage that weighs on him. Thus begins their rollercoaster relationship. This story is one of betrayal, steamy sex, hate, loss, grief, heartbreak, guilt, forgiveness, friendship, and love. Michelle Hughes has created very lifelike characters that will tug at your emotions.

Melissa Stiletto gives voice to characters and their emotions. I volunteered to receive this Audible book in exchange for an honest review. I recommend this Audible book that is so full of a gamut of emotions.
