This is a story of the lives of three orphans Alisak, Prany and his sister Nori, who are parted from their families as a result of the civil war in Laos in the late 1960s. It is brutal and harrowing and realistic and very moving. The story takes us from Laos to Thailand, Spain France and America and covers a period of 50 years in the lives of the three orphans, the challenges they face and the tenacity they demonstrate to counter the adversities they face. .
The real victims of any war are the innocent lives that are wrecked and the families that are torn apart and the winner here is the human spirit. Powerful stuff.

Powerful story of lives torn apart by war
