Engaging new take on an old story

The characters are well defined and engaging. The lags in some places but keeps the interest enough to carry through , I look forward to listening to the rest of the series

Better to read the books

This was an average vampire story and it would have been enjoyable enough but I found it terribly difficult to listen as the choice of narrator was unfortunate to say the least. I had to speed it up to get finished quicker as I didnt want to dnf the book.
An over the top performance that made everyone sound like a cartoon character. It just sounded all wrong. I could not take these vampires seriously! I wont be listening to any more by this narrator.

Beware of the Narrator!

I tried to power through the story but the narrator was horrible. She sounded like she needed to blow her nose. Ruined the story.

This has got to be the worst narrator

She tries to change her voices for the characters and it just doesn’t work. I haven’t heard more than the first chapter and I am ready to turn it off.

Didn't Care for the Narration

The stories themselves were good. Not some of AJ Tipton's best writing but worth reading. However, the narration was not good. I have listened to Audrey Lusk narrate quite a few books and the narration of these books is NOT her best. I had a hard time listening to the end but I did due to (basically) giving my word I would. My advice is to listen to the sample and make sure you don't mind the narration before buying/requesting this box set.

Inclusive paranormal love drama story FINALLY!

AJ Tipton ALWAYS includes different races, ethnic & sexual orientation within the stories.. Even slight kinky stuff (my opinion).. Yes adult middle age readers of color will find someone or something they can relate to.. This version of the series is an excellent value.. Bravo!!! more please.. WORTH THE CREDIT!.

Good Read

Royal Blood: A Four Story Paranormal Romance Collection was a good read by A.J. Tipton. This box set consists of; The Vampire's Throne, The Vampire's Lair, The Vampire's Escape, and The Vampire's Choice. These books follow vampire royals who will wish everything to save the people they love as well as their kingdom. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Was expecting a bit more

All the four stories are ok. In the end they seam to be about the ending of the Hattory (I hope I'm spelling it right), that is the ability vampires have to mind control those that they turn. With power comes abuse so when even the suppose good guys use that ability against their lovers wishes there is a problem.
I found the narrator ok too. Though you can understand her and she really does a great effort to interpret every character differently, sometimes (ok, most of the times) it comes out a bit too much or not to the point.
In the end, though I don't think this series provides a strong story, it's still enjoyable and original in the theme.

Storyline is good

This book is best enjoyed as a written book. The narration on this audio was incredibly irritating and whiny. The protagonist sounds weak and pouty. Otherwise and enjoyable offering.

Story Cheesy, Narrator Nauseating

I'm usually not so harsh on every aspect of a collection, and I don't even know why I stuck with it. I think that the only reason that I did was because it was so bad that it almost turned into camp.

The last book actually had something vaguely similar to a story, but by then the narrator couldn't seem to keep her characters voices straight! Too sad.

I LOVED IT!

I loved it! I enjoyed the narration and that's because I remember her narrating his Elemental Vikings Series which I enjoyed as well! The author does a great job with the character builds and plot. I have read so many books by this author and I look forward to reading more. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Narrator

Narration was absolutely horrible. I will go back and just read the book, but the narrator almost ruined it...😔.
