Full of generic phrases like: “Most Romans awoke early in the morning and ate whatever was available…”

Felt like a book written and read by Artificial Intelligence. Covered facts but in a really wooden and uninteresting manner. Frustrating considering how interesting the subject matter is.

Didn’t finish this book which is rare for me.
