Summary

Autumn Brooks knows one thing for certain. All. Men. Are. The. Same. Especially guys like Jaxon West. Sexy smile. Bright blue eyes and perfectly tousled jet black hair.

You know what guys like that are? Nothing but trouble. And he's broken her heart once already.

Jaxon West may not know a lot of things, but he knows one thing for certain. He will get Autumn Jane Brooks back.

Autumn and Jax were “that couple” in high school. Always together and so in love. They were supposed to be together forever until something drove them apart. Jax left without so much as a goodbye, leaving Autumn heartbroken and alone.

Autumn moved on, running a bookstore and popular bakery in the charming small town of Walla Walla. Jax set out to pursue his dreams of becoming a rock star in Chicago.

For Jax and his band, The Living Room Sessions, breaking into the music business was hard. And no matter how hard he tried, he never could get Autumn out of his mind. Ten years later, almost to the day, he’s back, and he’s determined to win her heart. An effort she won’t make easy on him.

But when he finally does, can their relationship survive long distance? Can it survive the secret he’s keeping from her? Does this second chance get a happily ever after?

Author note: This audiobook contains mature subject content including: steamy sex, frequent use of F-bombs, and alcohol use. Although it is part of a series, there is no cliff-hanger. Please also note, this is a long-distance relationship where the couple is together, but separate half of the time.

Rocking Autumn

I absolutely fell in love with Jax & Autumn. This is a second chance romance, that has some secrets and back & forths, but it was so very well written. I didn't like Jax for a bit but he grew on me pretty fast. This was the first audio performance I've listened to by Steven Barrett and I am sure he will quickly become one of my favorites.

Sweet second chance romance

This is a sweet second chance romance where the narrator did a fantastic job of keeping me interested. The story itself fell a bit flat for me and I found myself annoyed at the characters and did not quite connect. The will the or won’t they and back and forth was a bit much at times but overall it is a story that I am sure others will fall in love with and enjoy. I encourage others to listen and form their own opinions.

The Perfect Love Story 💘

Alyne Hart it's known for her love stories and this one is no different. Rockin Autumn is about a couple that were high school sweethearts that everyone knew would end up together forever; even Autumn believe it.

Jax's was suppose to p/u Autumn for them to leave for their new life, but he didn't show up as she waited and she waited for him.

There was no phone call. No nothing explaining why he wasn't showing up. Why their dream was now of the past.

Autumn went on with her life hating Jax for what he did. Her parents wanted to retire to Florida so her father asked her to take over the family Bookstore.

And, 10 years to the date walks in the bookstore, the one who broke her heart and telling her he wants her back.
Jax wasn't giving up because he knew he would have to put some work into it if he was ever going to win her heart again.

Jaz needed to go back to Chicago for his band and he had a secret in Chicago, a secret that he should have explained to Autumn while he was courting her again back in Walla Walla.
You'll have to get the audio to know how it ends, but I'm sure as I did enjoy the whole book, I definitely recommend it. Well, like I said with Alyne Hart books there's a HEA, and that's the best part.

The narrator Steven Barnett did an AWESOME job with the different voice characters of this book. This was my first time hearing his voice in any audiobooks but I definitely look forward to listening to his narrations in the future. This book deserves all of the 5-stars, No Doubt!!!

I love Jax, ha ha. I don't know why, but I really liked him. I guess he reminded me of a friend of mine. Alyne Hart is becoming one of my favorite authors. I have enjoyed all of the books I have read by her, especially this one. Steven Barrett did a great job bringing Jax and Autumn to me. I highly enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to so much more from this author.

Sweet HEA

This is a truly heartwarming second chance romance story. It also touches on the difficulty a couple faces when they are forced to endure a long distance relationship and Autumn & Jax does just that. The narrative is excellent and really enjoyable to listen to.

Let me start by saying I thoroughly enjoyed this book. it had great characters that I could find myself rooting for. I thought the story was endearing. You could feel the love buried beneath the years of pain and anger. I felt for them as I could see they were meant for each other however life sometimes just doesn't line up right. They had to endure a lot and decide what was really important to them. I felt like Alyne was playing tug of war with my emotions however I am happier for it. Great job! I loved the ending however i am screaming in my head right now that if book two doesn't come out soon, i may cry. I would love to read more on this couple.

The narration was good however as a small note, I would love to have had a bit more variance in the voices, specifically the female or to have heard it in Dual narration. But all in all, it was a fine performance. Clean editing, clear voice and enjoyable.

I have read a couple books from Alyne now and can say I would definitely purchase more. They all have been fantastic reads.

Amazing story.

I fell in love with this story. I love how it is told over a long distance love story. You get to feel all the emotions of both characters.. I loved Autumn she is lovely and thinks of others before herself. Jax was so in love with Autumn but when you have a passion you just have to follow your dreams. The book is split in two parts the first is Autumn and Jax meeting back up after 10 years and trying to deal with issues of the past. The second part is the long distant relationship part and it's just so heartbreaking. I had a few tears in my eyes listening well maybe more than a few. This is such a great story I can not recommend it enough. So much happens you just get drawn into the story. I loved Steven Barrett he did such a great job he only changed the way he spoke a little bit from male to female characters but is was just right. I will be listening again after a while it was just that good. Please give Rocking Autumn a listen you won't regret it.x

Fall into the story

When a book draws you in and has you feeling everything the characters feel, you know you are in for a treat. Autumn and Jax are high school sweethearts. Rock and roll dreams call to Jax and he leaves without warning leaving a brokenhearted Autumn. Now 10 years later and realizing what he wants, he is back to claim what is his. But will Autumn be able to forgive him and move on? There is much to say when people mature and life goes on, but a first love is so strong, that feeling is hard to forget. There are secrets to be shared, and difficulties with each living in their own towns. Will they survive the distance? I found at times I was frustrated with Autumn, wanting her to pick up and move! At the same time , I could feel her roots where she is and wanted Jax to figure out his life and come back! Alyne Hart has such a well developed plot and set of characters that it is easy to fall into their lives and experience their journey.

Narrated by Steven Barrett, he provides a wonderful performance. It is my first time hearing him and I enjoyed his array of voices and pace. He is one I will look for in the future.

Great Read

Rocking Autumn by Alyne Hart was a great read. I absolutely loved reading Autumn and Jaxon's story. They are definitely two people who deserve a second chance at love. They were in love in high school but things went bad after one fateful day. Autumn is now a bookstore owner who still loves her rock star first love. I absolutely fell in love with Autumn and Jaxon and can't wait to read more by Alyne Hart.

This was wonderful!!!

I really loved Jax and Autumn!!! It was a great story of past pain and loss and present healing. I enjoyed every minute of it!

Steven Barrett as narrator was perfect for this! His voice is deep and buttery and he played the characters very, very convincingly!

2nd Chance Rocks

This 2nd chance romance is the story of 2 people finding themselves as well as each other. The loss associated with a miscarriage is hard at any age. I can not imagine dealing with it 17 or 18 years old.

Good Story but the MC annoyed me

Title: Rocking Autumn
Author: Alyne Hart
Format: Audio
Narrator: Steven Barrett
Genre: Romance - Second Chance, Small town, Rockstar
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: Book 1 of the Homecoming Series
POV: Autumn and Jaxon
Steam Level: Slow Burn to toasty as times
3.5/5

Overall I liked Rocking Autumn. However, Autumn drove me a little nuts with her insecurities and wishy washiness. I liked Jax and Autumn together but not separately and a lot of this book was them trying to figure out a long-distance relationship. They seemed simultaneously immature yet willing to admit when wrong and apologize. I feel like a lot of this book was apologizing to each other. I kind of became uninterested on their HEA but liked it, nonetheless. I wish we got more of their HEA in the epilogue.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsessions. This is my honest and voluntary review

Enjoyable story

Jax and Autumn are very likable. I love when I can connect with the characters. It was done quite well in this book. Narration was a bit tricky to figure which character was speaking in a few spots. But overall it was alright.
