Summary

From USA Today best-selling author M. Robinson.

"I once read that every warrior hoped an honorable death would find him. I always went looking for mine, but not even the Reaper wanted me. I was trained to kill. I was trained to not ask why. To take orders and just march in line. Hoo-ah motherf--ker."

"Life or death. Ride or die. And I'm not only talking about the military. I'm talking about the life that led me on the road to nowhere. My life. I fought for my brothers."

"I fought for my family. I fought for my country. And I fought for her...Never realizing I might die for them too."

Amazing... Cliffhanger Next Book is on the Kindle

I love Creed. Mia and Creed have so many obstacles. Whether it's their age difference, family, or circumstance. There is always something fighting them. Creed is broken. Mia unwittingly fills in all of his cracks for years finally making him whole when he claims her. This book will rip your heart out. It's not as bad as the second book though. That one will ruin you. Finally you get the end you need, the HEA. Still some part of you will still be destroyed due to how it played out. I want a Creed, but I don't want to be a Mia. Only read this book if you can take on the emotional roller coaster you're in for.

Marnye Young is TO DIE FOR IN THIS!!

Any additional comments?

God this woman makes me sick with how amazing she is. When I first started listening to this audiobook I couldn’t believe it was Marnye Young. Marnye is one of my favorite narrators and I couldn’t even recognize her voice! Her inflections were different, her tone was deeper. I was convinced I was being trolled because I know this woman's voice!... Well, I thought I knew her voice. There are apparently 100 different facets to Marnye that I have yet to discover…

Let’s begin with the accent. Ummm HELLO! It’s perfect. The drawl, the timing. I eventually convinced myself the siren narrating was, indeed, Marnye because no one can unleash my tears just by changing the tempo of the phrasing like Marnye Freaking Young.

When I started bawling like a baby, yup, I knew it was her.

Marnye compliments Conner so perfectly in this narration. Pure and refined versus damaged and raw. I don’t know who decided to pair these two together, but it was genius.

What a ride

There is so much to be said about this book, that I don't know where to start.

Creed is an outlaw. Born into chaos and raised in that same chaos, he has issues. He doesn't know where or who he should be and doesn't know how to find it either.

Along comes Mia. An 8 year old at first that has spunk and independence coming out her ears and she loves Creed. She grows up under the heavy hand of her father and brothers and just wants to be herself.

Will she be the one to pull Creed off of his Road to Nowhere?

Olivia Patterson was amazing in this story. To narrate Mia from age 8 and beyond, she did an amazing job. Connor Goff was great as well. I don't feel his narration was at the same level as Olivia, but he was still pretty great. The audio quality was amazing. No background noise or popping to pull you out of the story. It is truly a great audio!

Mixed bag

I really wanted to get to the story of the relationship between Mia & Creed but only the last 90 min contained what I was looking for. The rest was them meeting when she was a little girl and her little girl crush on a grown man. This is a hard one to review because I hate when 2 ppl fall into bed & then proclaim their love but there was so much I speeded up narration for because I didn't care about it. (911 & war scenes. Still too emotional to relive) Those scenes may give us perspective for Creed but doesn't propel the romance and just makes me feel sad. The other thing that I think I should mention is that this story is about the members of an MC. It is pretty raunchy talking about the club whores. Not sexy hot scenes just dirty somewhat graphic. If that isn't your thing, maybe pass on this one. I wish there was more of the last 90 min & less of all the rest. I have high hopes for the next one now that we are to the actual relationship.

I EXPECTED SO MUCH MORE😡😡😡😡

Any additional comments?

Ok I'm sure book two is going to lead to the love story but I'm so pissed that I have listened to 21 --- TWENTY ONE CHAPTERS AND SHE IS FIFTH-TEEN. This was tourtue ,,, Then the story takes me through 9 11 again. FYI That's a difficult time from Americans and should not be listed as a romance. I want to listen to book 2 but this has really put me in a mood. For my followers I do not like tear jerkers lke this one. I love books that make me hot, laugh and suspicious. Book one did neither.😩😩😩. So disappointed. Maybe I will get book 2 when it's on sale but .....
