About this listen

Hallie
When I was eleven, my family moved next door to his.
When I was thirteen, he was my first crush.
When I was sixteen, we fell for each other.
And when I was nineteen, we broke each other's hearts.

Six years later, I've landed an internship with a big-name interior designer in a new city.
Unfortunately, that city just so happens to be the one he plays hockey for.

I thought Chicago was big enough to avoid him, until I get the surprise of a lifetime and unknowingly move in right next door.
Even worse? The renovation project I'm assigned to in hopes of turning that internship into my full-time dream job...

It's his house.

But how am I supposed to update his bachelor pad into a family home when we can't even stand to be in the same room?

I may have loved Rio DeLuca once, but I'm not that same girl anymore.

Rio
I never thought I'd be the only single one left in my friend group.
But after years of trying to find love, I've concluded it may not exist for me anymore.

That is until I accidentally hire Hallie Hart to renovate my house and our jaded history has me rewinding memories I've kept secret for years.

You see, there's something that my friends don't know.

That connection I've been looking for since I moved to Chicago, that one person some search their entire lives to find... I had already found her when I was twelve years old.

And now the only girl I've ever loved is moving into the house next door.

Again.

This might be the best book in the series, it was absolutely beautiful. It was the best way to end the story and their love was 10/10. It was everything and more, no notes❤️😭

This was amazing

This audiobook was utter perfection. First, the duet narration was phenomenal, the narrators are absolutely incredible. They brought this story to life in the most amazing way. And second, for the story, Liz Tomforde knocked it out of the park with this one. As a huge fan of the windy city series I was waiting for Rio’s story with bated breath but never expected it to be this good!! This couldn’t be more perfect or more suitable for this character, the way the whole story came together was pure magic. I wish I had better words to describe it. This goes in the hall of fame of audiobooks for me!

Beyond perfect!

Listened over two days, and will certainly listen again. This story about Rio was fantastic. The narrators are outstanding and I must admit that I cried , so if you are like me have tissues ready.
Lovely epilogue and I will miss all the characters from 'The Windy City'
Will look out for more stories from Liz Tomforde. as I really have enjoyed her work.

So well written. Such a beautiful story and the characters were perfectly portrayed by the narrators in duet and had amazing chemistry. The female lead is one I’ve not heard before but her voice was perfect and obviously Connor Crais can do no wrong.

My soul needed this book

The most amazing way to end this beautiful series. Had me basically in tears the whole way through. Rio is an incredible character and from book 1 he's deserved the world, so to end on his book in the most beautiful, easy and heartwarming story. Liz is a genius and I will read every book she ever writes forever more!
