Summary

Nothing and no one can stop assassin Nathan Stone.

When black-ops asset Nathan Stone took out the heads of the Commission, a secret deep-state organization, he thought he’d destroyed them for good. Now he’s gone off the grid, trying to get as far away from his past as possible. But the Commission isn’t done with him yet.

Lying low in a Miami bar, Stone knows something’s up when an alluring actress strikes up a conversation with him. His suspicions are correct. The Commission is hot on his trail, and Stone is soon forced to run deep into the heart of the Everglades with the terrified woman as his hostage. He’s the Commission’s number one target - and this time nothing will stop them from eliminating him.

But Nathan Stone is no ordinary target. The crew of mercenary assassins on his heels have no idea what’s in store for them on the River of Grass. Because the hunt is on, and they picked the wrong prey.

Fast paced Action all the way...

I am really enjoying the Nathan Stone series by J B Turner. This is the third book in the series, I would suggest listening to these in the order they were written. They can be listened to as stand alone books but I think the listener would benefit more from a continuous story.
Once again the Commission (Black Ops Unit) is targeting Stone who had fallen out of grace with the higher ups. And once again he has the Commission in his sights. They have planned out an intricate take down that almost works but Stone sees through it at the last minute. Stone goes on the run taking with him a woman who resembles his sister. She had been hired to seduce him, now a hostage who doesn't realize that Nathan is trying to save her life and so she fights him every step of the way. The ending was quite a surprise as Nathan does something unexpected and kind.
Jeffrey Kafer does an outstanding job narrating.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Fucking Airhead

I’ve read all the other Ghost Thriller books and enjoyed them, but I had to end this book fucking early. It drove me fucking crazy. The women was fucking portrayed as a weak air head and I fucking think the word fucking was over used.

This book disappointing in both story and the characters.

There was no depth to the this story. The female character whined through the entire book. It felt like I kept hearing the same chapters over and over because the author just kept repeating the same phrases.

Disappointing

You can basically take chapters 12-45 and repeat: "Are you going to kill me?" "Didn't you listen to what I said?" "Please let me go." "I'm trying to save you." This was a real disappointment after the first two books. There was zero story line.

story felt like a range of chapters from the...

the middle of a book. It started from a mediocre place and stayed there the whole way with a finish that wasn't an end. I guess this is a product of authors on Amazon selling a series not a complete book. k I'll nda like a season of a television show.

Explicit Content!

I didn't enjoy it there was entirely too much profanity! There needs to be a language content rating.

Very predictable

Primary female character was overwhelmingly annoying and redundant. How many times can you say that exact same things in one book? Apparently, over one hundred...

Lots of the same

Not worth listening to. The dialogue is so repetitive and the story so nothing it wasn't worth continuing.

Yes...Nathan Stone is Finding His Heart

Nathan Stone is still an assassin, still loves his sister, and is still being hunted by the Commission. But this time he saves more people than he kills. And, he perhaps has what will be a new love interest...whiny, in my humble estimation, too wastefully talkative and has no real common sense, but she does do a lot of growing up during their time together. No real ties that would prevent her going on road with him and he's shown her he can be trusted. Hope she takes a trauma first aid class and watches YouTube to acquire some useful skills before their next meet up...or author Turner gives him a more action savvy partner, especially to balance out new female Evilene character. She could be like Sarah Connor from Terminator movies, learning useful stuff so she won't be so helpless, just in life in general...or being an actress, audition and train for a short-lived action series..I don't know..anyways, can't wait for the next one.
