Summary
They’d been through it all and emerged victorious. Now they stood on the very brink of a whole new life bursting with possibilities and renewed hope for the future. Colin will take the bar exam and begin his promising career as an assistant commonwealth attorney for the city of Charlottesville. Joshua receives his second PhD and adds forensic psychologist to his list of achievements. What could possibly go wrong?
And then:
Three students are abducted from the University of Virginia campus. All three are recovered alive but have been sexually assaulted and brutally beaten. From his new position as assistant commonwealth attorney, Colin partners with both campus and city police in a combined task force determined to solve these horrific crimes and put the perpetrator behind bars. But can they succeed before the "campus abductor" strikes again?
The abusive and volatile husband of one of Joshua’s patients threatens his life. Suddenly Joshua is under siege as he is stalked both at work and at home by an unstable assailant.
Entangled in both these life-threatening situations, Colin struggles to protect both the university he loves and the man he adores. But...
“Oh God, Josh, my sweet love, if anything’s happened to you....” His voice trailed off, unable to voice the unthinkable.
“NO!" Joshua’s mind shrieked. "I can’t give up! I won’t give up! Colin will come! He’ll come!”
Warning: This novel discusses sensitive material that may be distressing to some listeners. Relevant Law explores themes of abduction, physical violence, and non-graphic sexual assault.

Great instalment of a great series
I’m always hesitant to become invested in a series where it’s the same couple over and over. I mean, that’s real life, I guess, but I’m just as happy to see a couple get their HEA at the end of a book and then move on to another couple. At first, that’s what I believed Ms. Jarrell was doing. The first book in this series very much centers around David and Nate – a lovely couple. In the background was Colin and Josh. The next book was their story. I figured a third couple would emerge in the third book. I was wrong. Ms. Jarrell keeps going back to these two men as they navigate their lives. I figured I’d be bored of them by now.
I mean, this book starts with Colin taking the bar exam. Yawn fest. Except it wasn’t. I knew he was going to pass – this is Colin, after all – but I wanted to see how that kind of pressure affected him. In the past he’d almost buckled. But would Josh’s love be enough to bring him through? Then Colin moves into the prosecutor’s office and I was fascinated by the inner workings. And, all the while, Josh has interesting clients who keep the forensic psychologist on his toes.
From the blurb, and from Ms. Jarrell’s previous books, I knew something bad was going to happen. And I knew it’d turn out okay. But okay is super relative. How much damage could be wrought? And what were the ramifications? As always, this author doesn’t shy away from going to the dark places. But I knew there’d be light – and there was.
I have to say I’m enjoying Walker Williams’s narration of these books. I really enjoy his performances. This book would be a nice end to the series, but I suspect there’s at least one more to come. I’ll jump on that one as well.

Superb story and performance about the love between two great characters
My favorite thing about every story with Colin and Josh are those moments where one of them looks at the other as though he can't believe how lucky he is to have this amazing man with him. Then, he says that out loud. Hearing that awe come through in Walker Williams' performance is wonderful. These two have an unbreakable bond. That is the thing that saves them in this story in ways both small and life threatening. Initially, we get to see Colin starting his full-time job after passing the bar and Josh supports him through all his struggles with co-workers and cases. One of my favorite small moments in the story and one I could not wait to hear live in this performance was in Chapter 4 where Colin reminds an opposing counsel in no uncertain terms he's "Campbell-Abrams" emphasis on that dual last name. His pride in carrying Josh's name leaps out of the audio. Colin returns the support as we get to see Josh at work with patients in the clinic. The great thing about these everyday scenes is we learn so much about these two and how their minds work. It's always wonderful to get to know two smart men. Then, just as we've settled into daily life with them, the darkness that has been lurking in the story comes for them in a shattering, visceral way. Both will need all their love and all their smarts to survive and as a listener, you'll be waiting with bated breath, and a breaking heart like Colin - hoping for the best and fearing the worst. This was hard to listen to in places as Walker Williams made Colin's pain and Josh's fear so real. This is a do not miss story and audio performance.

Danger From Different Directions.
MM, Contemporary, Romance. A compelling story with action and drama throughout. The second book in the series and needs to be read/listened to in order for maximum enjoyment and full understanding as the couple's story continues from the first book. I thoroughly enjoyed this intriguing story which has a guaranteed HEA.

Gripping, angsty, sweet and wonderful!
I fell in love with Janice Jarrell’s books when I listened to Love’s Magic over two years ago. Since then, I’ve read nearly every book she’s published. Relevant Law continues the story of Colin and Joshua as Colin takes the Virginia bar exam and prepares to start his new career as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney. While I believe that you would get the most enjoyment out of this story if you’ve read other books in this series, it can be read as a standalone story.
Janice Jarrell couldn’t have found a better voice actor to portray her characters than Walker Williams. He captures the personalities of the characters so perfectly that they came alive for me while listening, even more than when I read the book. There are a lot of different characters in this story and the voices he uses makes it easy to distinguish who is speaking.
Relevant Law contains subject matter that some might find disturbing (see the warning in the blurb) but know that the story is ultimately uplifting. It’s a story of how enduring love, and faith in that love, can help you get through some of the darkest moments that life throws at you.
While some readers might find this book a bit too sugary sweet at times – neither Colin nor Josh are shy about professing their love for each other and the endearments they use are numerous – I think the sweet factor helps to offset the darker nature found in parts of the story. Colin and Josh also manage to get in a lot of hot, sexy time. 🥰
This listener can certainly tell from the writing that Janice Jarrell is passionate about the stories she writes for her beloved characters and I think that inspires readers to love them, too. I know that I’m not tired of reading about Colin and Josh, or their good friends David and Nate. I hope there will be more stories set in this world.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

WOW! This is one you need to have
Hang on because this one is not a slow, sweet romance. It will take you on a wild ride, and I'm still trying to recover.
STORY: 5 stars
Holy crap!! Mind trip. Emotional. Gets under you skin. Relevant Law takes everything you have been experiencing in this series by Janice Jarrell and turns it on its head. You go deeper, darker, and have to search for the light at the end of the tunnel. It's there, but you have to keep turning the pages...and trust me, you want to. Josh and Colin's story is far from over, and this book is mind blowing! It's a must read. I don't want to say too much and give everything away, but be prepared for suspense and emotion on the high end of the scale.
NARRATION: 5 STARS
Walker Williams once again delivers a great performance and brings this story to life, making it jump out of your speakers and off the the pages. I absolutely loved this one, and as emotional and everything that this one is, Walker did a great job with it all.
OVERALL: 5 STARS
This one is a great addition to this powerful series. It is a must read/must listen. 5 stars and I suggest you one click today!

Amazing - brilliant narration
Both the author and the narrator were new to me. I became curious because of the blurb, which sounded totally interesting to me.
Janice Jarrell has a great writing style and it didn't take long for me to find myself in Colin and Josh's world. I haven't read volume one and I didn't feel like I was missing any essential information from volume one while listening to "Relevant Law".
On the contrary, Colin and Josh's storyline intrigued me enough to want more of them and that's why I'll be listening to volume one.
I enjoyed the story immensely, I felt the deep love they have for each other with every word. The everyday life of the two was wonderfully described. Colin can't get out of his skin and is a bit overprotective at times, but I found that very endearing.
The author drew the characters deeply and the story was very emotional, but also exciting and totally entertaining.
This was also contributed to Walker Williams, who did an excellent job. He gave the characters different voices and I always knew who was speaking. He also did an absolutely great job of portraying the emotions - and there were a lot of them. Wow, I was blown away! He made a great story even better with his brilliant narration. And unfortunately, the 10 hours of audiobook were over way too quickly. I was captivated from the beginning and listened to the audiobook in just two days.
Highly recommended!

Never Ending Love 🧡💙
This was a first for me by this author. Janice Jarrell pulls you into Colin and Josh’s world effortlessly. Be ready to embark on a roller coaster ride of emotions with this one. The love and passion they have for each other just flows from the pages. Remember to hold on to your seat because the suspense is enough to have you wanting to read ahead just to see what’s going to happen. You don’t want to miss this one. I absolutely loved this one. I definitely recommend this book and author.
Walker Williams did one hell of a job narrating this one. The passion flowed through ever word he spoke. Hope to listen to more by him.

Intense
This is an intense story. It is a time when Colin has moved into his attorney career. He and Josh are settling into daily life when there is a problem on campus. Someone is kidnapping and killing students. At the same time Josh is having trouble handling an abused client. Colin has stepped in to try and protect Josh when he is threatened by the client’s husband. At the same time Colin has warned Josh to be careful. Colin is so concerned he even drives Josh to work. Josh starts feeling Colin is over protective and goes about his lifestyle. This is where the intense, emotional part takes hold. The author does a wonderful job of bringing the situation for these two into such reality I could feel the emotions going on. The story also shines on the relationship between these two guys and their friends. This is a very powerful, emotional story. I can’t imagine where the author will take these characters next. I have to give credit to Walker Williams. The narration brought much more reality to the story. His ability to give each character individuality and feeling make the book irresistible.

Exactly what you should expect
If you're familiar with this authors books and these characters specifically then this should come as no surprise to you. The quality of the writing and narration are amazing as always and pair together beautifully. Josh is the housewife and work mom everyone wants to married to. just an overall sweet guy who is very educated and loves that he gets to make a home with his husband. Colin is like Diminick Carisi from law and order SVU. He's funny, charming, good at what he does, but hard working, protective, determined to get justice, and cares about his people and his community. This book definitely has a lot of really engaging intimate scenes but everything in the book is more sensual, romantic, and even poetic at times. Colin's voice in makes you melt and Joshua's is smooth and sweet. But none of that sound be a surprise. What's really great about this book is the way the plot was laid out and we got to see Josh struggle for a bit. I think we are used to seeing Colin struggle and make mistakes and Josh trying to be the adult and deal with it but now the situation is reversed. We get to see how their personalities change when the script is flipped like this. Colin is still stubborn but protective in stead of overly independent. And Josh is lashing out in frustration for once because of his own problems in stead of taking on everyone else's issues with a soft touch, even if he's still trying to apply logic to all these situations. it's interesting to see and really refreshing. I love that this is another great book in the series that stressed the important of mental health issues and appropriate help and care as well as realistic martial and personal issues. And again, the story line was great. It built slowly but organically and it had moments where I was on the edge of my seat without having to be anxious for the entire book. I really recommend this book and this author to anyone and everyone interested in romance novels. These two are my #relationshipgoals This story absolutely did take my emotions in a ride though so be prepared.

Enjoyable
This is Fearless Heart book 2
You really should read the first as this is the same couple moving forward and stuff from the previous book is mentioned. However saying that… I did listen out of order and quite liked the characters and story.
I love established couples and Josh and
Colin were so sweet and in love.
There are some twists and the story is exciting.
The narration is pretty good and I enjoyed listening.

Love & Faith
This was another great book that follows Colin & Joshua Campbell-Abrams. These two have endured some serious ups and downs throughout this series and the previous Revolutionary Heart series. This book continues that and had me caught up in its story far too late trying to finish it. Add in the great narrating and I just could not wait to finish it.
I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

Great performance and story!
Colin and Joshua are back! This takes place about 2 years after the first story, so Colin is now a lawyer and Josh has completed the degree he started in Love's Lawyer. You would think that all would be well now, however, get ready for some Joshua whump and and having Colin as an overprotective alpha.
When I originally read this book, I ended up pulling an unexpected all-nighter to finish it and I knew I had to get a copy of the audiobook as well. I love how Walker Williams gives a different voice for all the characters and follows through with them in all of the audiobooks. My favorite characters in the series are Colin and Josh, but lol I really love his voice for Nate. Thank you Janice for another wonderful story and Walker for your audio interpretation.
