You understand your past… so why do you still feel stuck?

You’ve done the inner work. You’ve gained insight. You know your patterns.
And yet—your reactions, triggers, and emotional cycles still feel automatic.

Because insight doesn’t rewire the brain.

In The Neuroscience of Inner Child Healing, Cheryl Rowder, PhD, RN, reveals how early emotional experiences become wired into your brain and nervous system—shaping how you respond to stress, relationships, and even yourself.

Blending neuroscience, attachment theory, and reparenting practices, this book bridges the gap between understanding your past and actually changing it.

Inside this guide, you’ll learn how to:

  • Understand the biology behind emotional triggers
  • Rewire neural pathways formed in childhood
  • Regulate your nervous system and reduce anxiety
  • Heal your inner child with science-backed tools
  • Break patterns of self-doubt, people-pleasing, and emotional reactivity
  • Build lasting self-trust, emotional balance, and inner peace

This is where awareness becomes lasting change.

If you’ve ever thought, “I know what needs to change—but I can’t make it stick,” this book will show you why—and how to finally move forward.

You’re not broken. Your brain is patterned.

And now, you can rewire it.

As someone with childhood trauma, this book truly resonated with me. Healing is so incredibly difficult to do, starting with healing your inner child is so important. I do therapy, am medicated and journal and I still deal with certain triggers that I cannot seem to control. The way this book breaks down how they’re stored within memory where they’re are more than just felt they’re emotionally felt is such an important factor. If you need more to heal than what you’re already doing this is the book for you!

Our childhood really does have a lot to do with the adults we become. So many times in adulthood we have certain reactions not really understanding why we react that way. It is so important for parents to give their children the best childhood possible without trauma and no negativity if possible.
