Summary

With one simple myth, nations burned. Under the Almighty, an empire has been forged, bringing peace to the once-divided continent. But now, a spark of truth threatens to ignite the religion of lies.

Chapman unknowingly brought the Seventh Precinct to their demise. Now Officer Holden Sanders, known throughout the capital city as the survivor, seeks the truth of how so many he held dear were slaughtered. But, when it comes to light his former mentor might still draw breath, the officer of God is forced to wage war against the Almighty itself.

Excellent start. The future looks interesting

Really enjoyed this, seemed like it was just getting going when it ended though which just leaves me thirsty for the sequel. Plenty of questions left to answer and what seems like the beginning of an excellent story. all in all I think I preferred the previous novella, but this is an excellent start and I'm looking forward to much, much more.

A decent book 2

Starts where the 1st book ends. I loved the first book and I wasn't disappointed by this book. Keeping the quality of any subsequent book must be difficult especially as the 1st book was fantastic. The only down side to this, like the first book is the shortness of it! It goes in no time!

The narration is great and easy to listen to so it gets my 5 * stars.

Very dark but very good

The second entry in Daniel Greene's story is just as good if not better than the previous short story.
I enjoyed getting to know more about the characters, the world and getting some glimpses of what lies beyond the empire.
Can't wait for the next book to see where this leads.

An Enjoyable Story

This is much improved and far longer than it’s previous instalment. The themes are stronger and the story is fuller and it isn’t afraid to follow through and stronger plot points.

One criticism is that the writing is a bit weaker, some characters sound the same and the repetition of words to describe things between characters is something that bugged me.

That minor point aside I am enjoying this story although I can’t see how the Empire will not win, perhaps that is the point.
The Grim Dark is shining through alive and well and I love it for that, it’s nice to be here for the birth of a new Author and his story.

Great book and a perfect sequel to Breach of peace

I was a bit scare that Daniel being a YouTube and all would disappoint. But he delivered not once but twice!
