Summary
A suspicious death in a small town reawakens Izzie’s long-dormant itch for digging up the truth.
When Izzie Di Sante’s dream career as an investigative reporter hit a roadblock, she traded her press pass for an apron and returned home to manage the family restaurant. However, some things are impossible for Izzie to ignore. Like when the details surrounding the death of a long-time acquaintance don’t add up.
She tells herself it’s her overactive imagination. Except the police report and circumstances reawaken the itch to uncover the truth—or in this case, the killer. Can she solve the case and follow her dream while managing her family restaurant?
This is a prequel to the Izzie Di Sante Mysteries.

Very Good
When murder happens and you get the itch to solve it you've just got to scratch it. Another interesting Cozy mystery from Christa Nardi here. Good characters and a good storyline combine to make and very good read. Janelle Bennett does a nice job of the narration helping to bring the story to life. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the narration of Janelle Bennett
This is a great short listen
Izzie used to be a investigative reporter to return home to help run the family restaurant, with her sister Chole. When her sister’s childhood friend is found murdered, Izzie is back in the game and working to solve the crime,

Well written whodunnit
An enjoyable well written whodunnit. Izzie former investigative reporter now manages the family restaurant. When her sisters friend dies in mysterious circumstances she begins an investigation. The story is excellent. Christa Nardi rarely disappoints and this is a good one. Janelle Bennet is a new narrator to me and has an easy to listen to voice, stylish delivery, not a huge range but does well with the story. I did work out the killer fairly early but this did not affect my enjoyment of the book. I received a complimentary copy from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review

Short but great!
A wonderful short listen. An engaging mystery and a group of characters I want to know more about. I will definitely be listening to more in the series.

Really enjoyable listen and good story
Both the narrator and the author never fail to deliver and it is a nice easy listen. I did enjoy it.
