Summary

"The Suck" - the virus that claimed 97 percent of humanity - is gone.

The arrival of other survivors with a different take on the future may be as dangerous as the virus itself. In the middle, with their hands on the scales, is a group of former soldiers and civilians who survived the virus in Antarctica. They’ve arrived to find a dead world, with no rules.

The best-selling story of Jason, Pro, and Rachel continues where End of Summer, book one of the Seasons of Man series, left off. The author is a former CIA operations officer who has decided his lifelong love of writing is more fun than real work.

You need to read all S. M. Anderson's books.

Fantastic series. go back and get all Anderson's books. Jay Snyder kicks a$$ reading them.

Excellent

Good follow up to first in the series. Banding of remnants of real military with survivors taking down another apocalyptic bad guy. Written very well. Good characters. Will get the next.

Excellent writing, narration & story

As with book 1, this just flows right along, with wonderful detail thats never drags the story down.
World building, characterization, and narration are all 5 Stars.

FINALLY!!!

Finally, a book that doesn’t follow the same line of most ‘good vs evil’ books where good only wins out of pure luck after everyone coming together to join their forces to defeat one, nearly unbeatable, force. I hate that most books like that seem to imply that the forces of good are weak and could never be victorious in a one on one confrontation. That good stumbles thru the story with no ability to guess what their foe is doing and being beaten every step of the way, only to barely defeat the enemy at the last minute thru chance and essentially cheating by taking on the enemy in a one versus many final battle.
This book proved that a smart, confident hero can be a great read, and said hero doesn’t need to get his butt kicked until the last chapter

Survivors vs communists.

It seems like Marxism always preaches that all should have equity, but some always end up more equal than others. central planning is a dangerous framework, waiting for a psychopath to take the reins. Jason hooks up with a group of military survivors as they evolve from mere survival to trying to build a new civilization. To do it, the tyrants cant be allowed to continue their accrual of control.
