i actually cried at the mascot reveal 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ that is how involved you'll get with the story.

What a unique rollercoaster story about Henrietta and Lucca. I loved all the characters especially the TikTok Granma and Dogzilla the cat! The narrator's did a fabulous job of bringing all the characters to life and I highly recommend this story ❤❤❤❤ I wish I could give it 10 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pippa's done it again with this hilarious romcom

Need a laugh? How about a good romance? Look no further, Pippa Grant has it right here with Real Fake Love. I don't know even know where to start! This book had me laughing so much. Henri has a problem. She falls in love too easily, ends up close to the alter only to have it snagged from her not once, but five times! She enlists Luca Rossi, a man the complete opposite to teach her not to fall in love. He needs a girlfriend to prevent those attempts to set him up by his family and she is the perfect candidate. And our story begins. Moving in together wasn't enough to make the story go with their flirtatiously funny banter, but Luca's grandmother, TikTok Noni is in the wings. Known for her antics and her love charms she adds laugh out loud humor and all the sage advice anyone needs. Plus the team, their women and we can't forget the cat, the story flies by as you listen. This has to be one of my favorites so far!

Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke make magic with their narration. The comedic timing is spot on, the romance builds and their voices always on point. I love this team and can only imagine the outtakes from his recording! It is amazing!

I read the book first and then had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook and I loved it. I spent the first 60% laughing and then the last 40% cycling between swooning and laughing. And this happens not just because of the couple, although Henri and Luca are amazing- funny, sweet, romantic but comedians at heart, but also because the whole cast of characters are hilarious and a true ensemble of people who probably shouldn't work but do because they are family in heart. I absolutely loved being enmeshed in this world with old and new characters that feel familiar to me because they represent the people and, more importantly, the feelings that I wish to feel around me every day. I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to read an early copy of this book.

Back to the couple at hand. Henri has been through 5 engagements, only to have them end when she's dumped. Luca is anti-love so Henri asks Luca to teach her how to be anti-love as well. A series of events happen and they find themselves in a fake relationship but a real friendship. And watching how the friendship grows- the banter, the care, the little things that both do for each other- All the feels. Throw in the crazy Nonna (no one writes a better crazy grandmother than Pippa Grant), funny but supportive teammates and their women, a continued rivalry for the team mascot position, a costume wearing cat, and a very very clumsy heroine (totally reminds me of myself) who writes the most hilarious vampire/shifter novels, and this is a well-rounded rom-com full of heart.

The audiobook features Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke so I had very high expectations. My expectations were completely met- these two narrators were perfect for this audiobook and I really enjoyed their reading. Excellent comedic timing, great command of their voices to play multiple characters and overall, just a wonderful read of a fantastic book that elevated the overall experience.

This is one of my all time favourites from pippa grant. Love the characters and how they are presented. Narrators were brilliant love Jason Clarke and like Virginia Nelson. Loved dogzilla glad they both have HEA
