About this listen

Life is never easy being the outcast.

Gia's red hair and lack of powers set her apart from every other raven shifter witch in existence, and not in a good way. Shunned by her Flock, still living with her parents, and working day in and day out as a waitress, she longs for a change.

David is a mimic, one of a kind. Being different isn't always a good thing. The only time he feels like he's fitting in is when he's pretending to be someone else. Alone, jaded, and always hiding, he just wants someone to see him for who he really is.

Be careful what you wish for.

An unfortunate mishap changes everything as Gia finds herself lost inside a world of fairytales and nightmares unable to discern what is real and what is make believe. When David sees her from across the room, he is drawn to her in ways he doesn't understand, but the silent raven spirit within him awakens and immediately recognizes her as his one true mate.

As truths are unraveled and favors are called, it's no longer safe for Gia and David inside The Diner. Can they work together to get out before it's too late? Or will they be trapped in The Diner forever?

Contains mature themes.

Having really enjoyed the Westin Pack, Collier Pack, ARC Shifters and Westin Force series I was delighted to see the Ravenden series is being recorded and this is the first one.
First the good Carly Robins and Jeo Hempel gave their usual excellent performances, but the story itself was the weakest I have read. Hard to go into detail without spoilers but the story line was a bit poor. It started promisingly enough but the last hour or so really lacked the usual believability ( I know that sounds daft in what is obviously a fictional world) and didnt really work for me. Hopefully its just a blip.
Lets hope the next in the series is back to the usual standard

Julie Trettle is my favourite author of all time. It was great to hear some of my favourite characters from previous books was in this one. I am buzzing for the next book. I need it ASAP.
