The reasons I see this audiobook as highly helpful are two-fold. The first is that even as someone who only works with neurodivergent grown-ups (and doesn't have a neurodivergent kid) I was able to get lessons out of this. The second is that despite the fact that the authors, who also are the voice-narrators (which is cool), have lived the emotional experiences themselves, they give a lot of objectively good advice on how to deal with these challenges. It gives it all credence, and makes the guide highly specific to solutions for the neurodivergent.

As someone with two nephews diagnosed with Autism - this book was a true eye opener in terms of how parents navigate the world of raising a child with ASD.
Understanding the why, and what options are available and understanding that you are truly not alone - this book gives you options and hope.
Beautifully narrated by parents Krishna and Heather - they share their own journey in its purest form.
A great guide if you are starting out or if you are looking for more answers and options.

This is an excellent resource for parents with children who are pre or post assessment for Autism Spectrum Conditions. I would also highly recommend it for anyone supporting parents and families, school staff and anyone working with children who would like to understand Autism. With thorough research and personal anecdotes from their own lived experience, the authors explain clearly the many different conditions under the umbrella term of ASD or ASC. In addition there are a myriad of practical suggestions for supporting children in different scenarios.

Excellent, well researched, personal and informative.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It covers everything a parent of newly diagnosed child needs to know, without being overwhelming. It’s a wonderful resource to keep referring to throughout your child’s ASD journey.
I also loved how warm the authors are, and am grateful for them for sharing their own personal story.
