Excellent guide to raise chickens
This guide is excellent for anyone who lives in a spacious land and would like to raise chickens for self-reliance and sustainability. I remember from my childhood; we had a few chickens, but we raised them knowing nothing about them. This book is excellent because it shows you what you need to know, from housing for the chickens, feeding, etc. Well done. Narrator did an excellent job as well.

Comprehensive Guide to Raising Chickens
If you are looking to raise backyard chickens this is the book for you. This book has so much information in it, from an explanation of the different breeds, how to set up adequate housing, different types of predators and protection methods and so much more. I found the book to be clear and easy to understand and answered all the questions I had about raising chickens.

Backyard Chicken Flock
Having a reliable food source at home that you can monitor and help foster and grow is a great way to gain self-sufficiency. This audiobook really helps with understanding all that goes into setting your flock up for success, from getting your coop set up to knowing the amount of land you need and which breeds are right for your needs. I never knew how chicken breed temperaments could play such a role in raising the flock. There was also a good section on making sure your flock stays healthy with preventative care and treatment of illnesses. I can't wait to use what I learned to set up our own flock.

Very useful guide for beginners like me!
My husband and I purchased our first home last year! And the city where we live has approved a law allowing us to raise chickens! We thought it would be pretty interesting to raise our own chickens and eggs! However, we have no idea where to start. We didn't even know there were so many types of chickens. Fantastic Overview to Get You Started
If you've considered raising chickens, this is a great place to start. It's a great overview of the topic. It starts with great motivation as to why you'd want to do it, and then proceeds to show you how to do it. The information is easy to understand, and presented in a well-informed but friendly way. There are a lot of fun facts along the way too! Did you know chickens can make great pets? I didn't until listening to this audiobook!
