Summary

Don’t dream your life, live your dreams....

Phoebe Dashwood is a passionately committed vet who’s living the dream. She’s about to open her own small animal practice at her grandmother’s animal shelter, Puddleduck Farm in the New Forest.

Phoebe is helped by her two oldest friends. Her best friend Tori is a mix of hard-headed journalist and hopeless romantic, who thinks love will conquer all when she finds the right man!

Then there is Sam, Phoebe’s staunchest ally, whose integrity and selflessness mean he would do anything to make Phoebe happy, no matter what the cost to himself.

Very soon Phoebe discovers that fantasy and reality don’t quite match.

An unscrupulous bunny breeder, a poisoned stream, and a complicated attraction all conspire to throw her dreams in a spin.

Events come to a shocking climax at the New Forest Show where Phoebe’s world is turned upside down and she has to make some life changing decisions.

I've listened to quite a few books narrated by Karen Cass and her main voice for male characters is always the same, this ends up with most of the men in the story sounding young and posh.
The story is good and followed on nicely from Book 1.

Its a very easy listen, I let it play away while I work, doesn’t need any concentration, very predictable, not as well written as Carole Matthews, Sophie Kinsella etc but the characters are likeable and as an animal/horse person it’s great to get away from the usual Babies/Marriage crap that you get in other easy listening books.

Ok if not a bit predictable

**3.5 Stars**

This is book two of five in the Puddleduck Farm series. This instalment sees Phoebe the main character realising her dream by opening her own small animal vet practice based at Maggie’s Animal shelter (her grandmother who will only answer to her Christian name as she hates the word ‘Gran’)

Now, Phoebe is just settling into her role when she comes across a bunny breeder who has no morals and after receiving a few cases in her surgery of poorly bred rabbits the plot thickens.

On top of that there are two men in her life who want her attention. One is a childhood friend the other is frosty to say the least but she is attracted to him.

Then a situation comes up when both men are in the same vicinity they are both going through their own troubles what will she do?….

A very light and quick read.
