I quite enjoyed the story but found the narrator inadequate to the task in hand.

I really enjoyed this book very much. I usually does not like it when important characters are given new personalities that differ too much from Jane Austin's original. But despite saying that, it worked remarkably well for this story. I think the most shocking ones where Mr. Bennet, Jane and Georgiana. And now that I think about it, they probably were the only ones given a major change. 🤔

Let's talk about the spicy stuff for a second. It does in no way overpower the book. As someone who likes to read modern romance novels with varying levels of spice, this book is very mild. And it gave a certain freedom to the author I think. It also gives a new level of intimacy for the characters which we normally does not get to see due to the fact the usual type of P&P variations does not go anywhere near the subject. It was a nice change.

The narrator did a very nice job with all the voices. She really got some feeling in there that others sometimes lack.

A quick paced post marriage variation with some saucy bed scenes. The narration was full of breathy pauses and swallows.
