Summary

After a disastrous marriage, Eric Samuels’ heart lies in tatters, and he’s sworn off romance. That is, until a beautiful raven-haired whirlwind blows into his life.

Nisha Raine is a free-spirited, unstoppable force. She races into town on a coal-black mare with the speed of a hurricane and the heart of a champion, intent on competing in the Dawson Derby. When Nisha and Eric meet, a clash of wills ensues. However, neither can deny their intense attraction.

Can they bridge the divide and cross the finish line together, or will their differences make them falter and lose the race?

Great Story, Many Words Mispronounced

It's not very often that I write a review, I just click on the stars. I have enjoyed the stories of all three series by Linda Bridey. This is a culmination of several things including the Dwyer family issues and Eric Samuels.

It is difficult for me to understand how this book could be released with so many words pronounced improperly. So many that I began to keep a list, some of these are quite basic. This is a list of most of the words: Foal - (not foul)
Livery
Bridle
Minute
Cross ties
Equine
Wakan Tanka
Lope
Dressage
McIntyre
Laudinum
Wiley
Assertain
Conducive
Sated

One of these words was corrected part way through the book. The reader did have some decent voices, it is just awkward and disappointing that this was released this way.

Having grown up on a farm many of these words are just second nature to myself and many other listeners. If I were the narrator, I would certainly want to be made aware of these issues prior to its release.

Lousy Narrator

Narration should have been edited ! Too many common words mispronounced. At least her voice was pleasant.

Loves these stories but;

This narrator is not pronouncing words correctly. She is ruining my enjoyment. I love all of these books I laugh, cry, etc with all of these people but it’s hard when the narrator
Is as this one. I’m disappointed
I still loved the book

good story

love all linda bridey books. this one is no exception. however the reader mispronounced a few horse terms. to a horse person this is like nails on a chalk board. Foals and bridles were 2 words that were horrible mispronounced. other than that this is a great audible story.

Great book

Linda Bridey held my attention throughout this book. It was great to see how each character progressed from one book to the next. I cannot way to listen to another book she writes.

great book

I really liked this book, I've read all this authors books and loved them, my only complaint is the narrator. she mispronounced so many words..a foal was a foul, bridle was brittle, and so many more...I can't believe someone didn't let her know she was doing such a poor job..with that said the book was awesome and I can't wait for the next one.

Delightful

Nisha one can imagine what she looked like, especially being free spirited and racing on a horse. That was not what a proper woman should be doing in those days. She caught the eye of Eric, both wanting to be in the competition of the Dawson Derby. Good story and one liked her and her spirit.
