About this listen

A SPECIAL 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION NARRATED BY THE AUTHOR

Discover the deliciously dark and fantastically funny No. 1 bestseller about a woman living life rather too well and being whisked away from it all, from the No. 1 bestselling author of Grown Ups

'How did it end up like this? Twenty-seven, unemployed, mistaken for a drug addict, in a treatment centre in the back arse of nowhere with an empty Valium bottle in my knickers . . .'

Meet Rachel Walsh.

She's been living it up in New York City, spending her nights talking her way into glamorous parties before heading home in the early hours to her hot boyfriend Luke.

But her sensible older sister showing up and sending her off to actual rehab wasn't quite part of her plan.

She's only agreed to her incarceration because she's heard that rehab is wall-to-wall jacuzzis, gymnasiums and rock stars going cold turkey - plus it's about time she had a holiday.

Saying goodbye to fun will be hard. But not as hard as losing the man who she realises, all too late, might just be the love of her life . . .

I wanted to read Again Rachel but had never read Rachel’s holiday so I began here. I’ve had it in my ears for the past week and adored it SO much. I’ve laughed out loud and felt like I’ve really got to know Rachel so I’m now really excited for the sequel

Just lovely

What a great read! Not read a bad one from this author. Loved the fact she narrated it herself. As the one who created the characters, it was very fitting that she brought them to life herself. Story arc was great, sad, funny, harrowing, enlightening. Well done you!

Another great book from Marian

I think Marian Keyes sounds like such a lovely, lovely person and I wanted to like this more than I did. I think it’s because I’m in my late 50s and this was originally written (I think) when she was in her 20s, but the story just seems a little naive - as if recovery from addiction is straightforward and linear whereas I believe it rarely is. But her warmth is evident and her overall message is kind so it was an enjoyable listen on the whole.

Some lovely bits but a little naive
