Good story line

I haven’t had any of this authors books before but I purchased this book after hearing it reviewed on TV. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. An insight as to how life can change us in habit and ourselves. From living the high life to a downfall. Great page turner and I will get more from this author. A good book and highly recommended.

Never disappointed

Worth the extra wait for another excellent Jane Fallon. Always look forward to a new release and this one like the others does not disappoint. Also well read and easy to listen to.

Awful character, don’t bother.

The character in the book started out as quite likeable. As the story developed she became more and more ridiculous .... recently divorced single mum risks her company income and financial security (possibly risks a prison sentence?) so that she can forge a relationship with the neighbourhood b!tch and it just gets worse after that. I was listening to this book on audible while painting our house and my other half kept coming out to check i was ok because of the cringe noises I was making in response to this utterly ridiculous story. I think this book is so bad even the editor didn’t read it here is an example - ex husband takes daughter to visit with his brother and sis in law ... few chapters later she explains he was an only child and inherited everything when his parents died. My recommendation is to read something else.

Repetitive

Ok book. But my god she spent most of the book going on and on and on about the rich women’s Botox / plastic surgery. It drove me nuts. The author made it abundantly clear she does not approve of not aging gracefully and this seemed to become the main slant of the book. A tad tedious

Loved it ... pure escapism

This was my first Jane Fallon book... I thoroughly enjoyed it! Loved the descriptions of the ladies in the close... with all the Botox! Pure escapism...just what I needed.. listened on audiobook and enjoyed listening to the voice of the narrator

Not Jane Fallon’s best unfortunately.

Very predictable from beginning to end, l kept thinking something amazing was about to happen and it didn’t. Save your time and your money.

Negative star review SAVE YOUR TIME

Where to start... Jo Joyner did a great job with the material that they gave her. ¿Are we sure that Jane Fallon wrote this? In general her stories have characters DEVELOPMENT. Which is NOT what happens here. In general i read her books because of how relatable the characters are, and how you can blend in the placees/ society that she describes . Spoiler alerte there isn't enough development for you to blend in or relate to the characters. The book was SO BAD, i almost didn't finished it! (and i'm the type that ALWAYS finishes a book). The book is extremely superficial, in the firsts chapters you already know the characters, don't expect nothing more. At first you think that there is a story (and being a Jane Fallon fan i expected plot twists), its all superficial and linear.
