This book should be compulsory reading for anyone thinking of getting a puppy. All too often families visit dog pounds and choose the first dog that shows them attention. This book shows there is a lot more to think about. Breed? Sex? Age? Breeder? and that's before you get it home. Then you have to think about, training, where will it sleep? toilet training? food? grooming? the list goes on, and so can the cost. This book tells you all the things you should consider and how to look after your puppy once it's home. I wish I had read this book years ago!!!!

Don't get a puppy until you have read this!!!

This book teaches you to apply pressure to the dogs bottom to teach the sit command which is a huge red flag. Dogs will naturally resist pressure of any kind applied to them so I don’t believe this is the correct thing to do. Read Graham Hall’s books instead.
