Summary

Decisions, decisions . . . life presents us with so many, big and small. How can we confidently make choices that bring us true happiness? The life of the virtues holds the key, and among those virtues, prudence holds the reins.

No, this isn't your grandmother's definition of prudence. This virtue actually inspires practical wisdom, allowing us to choose well and to bring order into our lives. In Prudence: Choose Confidently, Live Boldly, Fr. Gregory Pine, OP, aims to work prudence back into the conversation and to explain how it can transform us along our path toward what really matters.

In the face of fleeting emotions and conflicting convictions, learn how prudence will help you find wholeness, happiness, and freedom.

Didn't live the narrator

I had never understood why some people complain about narrators until now. It distracted me from the book and it sounded so robotic that it was impossible to listen to at any speed higher than 1x. I tried to convince myself that it sounded meditative, but I don't think you should be even thinking about the narrator.

The book itself was very good. I don't read or listen to self-help books anymore, but this one felt a little like that, except that it is completely catholic and it totally sounds like Fr Gregory Pine, which is a good thing. It is really applicable and inspiring and important. And it's definitely a book worth re-reading (though I might prefer reading it from the actual book instead of listening to this Audible version). (I'm so sorry that I dislike it so much. You can try the sample, it might be less uncomfortable to your ears.)
