Absolutely love the voice acting from both actors. They convey the emotions of the characters and the urgency of the plot so well! This is so good. If you like superhero fantasy, you need to listen to this!

Excellent!

The opening commands immediate attention with a spicy scene. My intrigue began to stir at the mention of suicidal missions and their survivors going to Reunion Island to recover. It felt like a mystery and a promise of action which I’m always up for. I’m glad that the cast has some ethnic and sexual diversity. The characters are well described and seem quite attractive. That being said, Anastasia is my favourite. I like her power and her blunt nature. She doesn’t take shit from anyone and isn’t afraid to get in on the action. I mean, it’s cool that Christopher has powers too but Ana stole the show, at least for me! 😊 Amanda’s the type of friend who gets you in trouble lol and Robert seems like a good friend you’d call in the middle of the night cause you had a bad dream.

I felt the tension between Ngo and Marco who I also believe doesn’t deserve to be part of the team. The former strikes me as a prominent, no-nonsense leader, which is cool. The action scenes were well written, easy to follow, and engaging. And HELLO? Astral projection! The enemy’s power was cool. I wonder if there are more like him that can make copies of themselves like that. The action was my favourite part of the book. Other than that, I enjoyed how the dialogue flowed well, especially between May and Robert in Chapter 4.

My speculations:
From what I understand, May is the Saviour or rather, she becomes the Saviour later on, and the chestnut-haired man who shows up at the end is a time traveller sent on a mission to end her. That, or he knows the future and wants to kill her before she becomes the Saviour. Either way it’s very interesting and I’m curious to know what happens next!

A fast-paced and engaging prelude with great action and spice
