Summary

I’m not going to fall for a spoiled price.

Prince Ryden is as hot as he is off limits. I have no intention of sleeping with a client, especially not a royal client.

He’s got the weight of an entire kingdom on his shoulders, and he deserves to let loose for a bit. Maybe, I can show him a thing or two.

It can never be more than a fling.

A guy like Ryden wouldn’t want me forever anyway. His family will never approve.

My only job was to keep him safe. But now that I know how amazing he is, I want to keep him close for good.

---

Falling for my bodyguard would be a disaster. As prince of Cosandria, I have a duty to marry and produce heirs.
My bodyguard can never be my boyfriend.

But what about a fling?

I’ve never done anything with a guy before, no matter how much I’ve wanted to. When it comes to Ajax, I can’t resist.

He’s here to keep me safe, but it’s my heart that’s in danger. How can I keep him when I have a duty to my country?

And even if I find a way to come out, will he want to stay?

Protecting the Prince is a 70,000-word bodyguard/prince romance featuring an irreverent and protective bodyguard and the nerdy and spoiled prince he needs to keep safe.

It was okay

I’ve listened to better to be honest by these two authors. I would give it another chance with a different narrator.

Protecting the Prince

A good quick listen. To me, the bodyguard/prince troupe was secondary to the suspense part of the story. The narrator was decent. Overall, I enjoyed the listen and story.

One of my favourites

Ryden had to make some pretty tough decisions - follow his heart or duty. I liked Ryden; he wasn’t a snob.

Ajax knew what he wanted and he didn’t settle for less. I admired him for the difficult choice he made.

Narrator’s performance was amazing.

Great addition

Another great addition to a series by Aiden Bates and Ali Lyda. Ajax and Ryden where interesting characters and it was enjoyable spending time with them in the audio world. Austin Jay did a wonderful job with the narration.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Incredible

I really enjoyed this one, the characters were so fantastically written that I became invested in both the story and their relationship. I would have loved more of them only because I loved them so much but the story flowed really well and the narration was brilliant.

Hot bodyguard and a Prince.

Hot bodyguard and a Prince

A good read/listen. Hot, sexy new bodyguard Ajax has a new job protecting what he believes to be a spoilt Prince from Cosandria.

Prince Ryden isn't the spoilt Prince people think he is, and he works when he can at a bookshop in America where he also attends college.

Prince Ryden is secretly gay, sure that his parents would never understand as they keep telling him he needs to marry and produce an heir.

This book is a fun story for the most part, but we do have a kidnapping, shooting, but the main bit is we do have a HEA.

Good clear narration, I had to speed up. I listened at 1.25 speed on audible.

An interesting, if a little predictable, romance

Though the Titan Bodyguards series isn't my favorite by these authors, I still enjoyed listening to Ryden and Ajax's romance. I was initially worried that Ryden would be a stubborn, snooty royal, but he was actually kind and very down-to-earth. I can see exactly why it was so hard for Ajax to resist his charm, though he did put up a good effort. It was immediately obvious that these men were attracted to each other, but their romance was much less steamy than I thought it would be. I actually loved how much of a focus there was on the emotional connection the two of them built, because it made their relationship feel like more than a secret string of hookups. I can't say that I found the "revenge" plotline very surprising--maybe I've read too many suspense romances because I knew almost immediately who the bad guy was going to end up being. I still thought it was interesting to see how Ryden and Ajax got themselves out of a tricky situation, and their reunion was pretty cute. All in all, I can't say that this was a particularly spectacular romance, but it was pretty solid with a satisfying happily-ever-after. Austin Jay did an excellent job of narrating these men and I have no complaints about the quality of his performance.

The prince and the bodyguard

A prince with a secret. A bodyguard who refuses to be in the closet. Undeniable attraction flares between them, but does their relationship have a chance when set against the responsibilities and expectations of a future king?

I appreciated the struggle Ryden had between what he wanted and the expectations of his parents and his duty to his country. That said, I didn't like him at first. He played jokes on his bodyguard, was rude to his friends, and just seemed a bit immature overall. Although I liked him and Ajax as a couple, the man Ryden was in his own country, confident and able to stand in for his father in important trade negotiations, didn't jive with the naive, and sometimes reckless, young man he was in Boston. Still, it was an enjoyable listen, and I look forward to more in the series. The drama in the book is mostly emotional angst, but there is also an attempted sexual assault, attempted murder, and a kidnapping.

The narration was good, and the voices suited the characters. Good delivery and pacing.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

More than meets the eye.

I cant fault a thing with this book, the story was both entertaining and intriguing and thoroughly enjoyable. Austin Jay did a great job narrating the story and the narration was flawless. Definitely one I shall listen to time and time again.
