Sadly, despite having very much enjoyed other Zoe Forward books I was unable to finish this one. The narrator’s male/alternate voice was too distracting, almost sounding like a cartoon character, and the story had not gripped me with enough enthusiasm to persist.

Not sure if I can finish the book. Maybe will try to read on kindle… narration is “flat” man/female voices distracting. Recomend to listen sample before buying this book.

really tried to listen all the way through but I just can't..
the tone of voice is just too much ...
it makes the storyline appear boring and hard to keep listening without either falling asleep or losing the plot!

apologies, but I just can't continue past chapter 8 and I have been tempted to "mark as finished" from chapter 1!

narrator sounds distracted and her male voice sounds like a jennifer coolidge impression. the story was nice i guess?? couldnt get through the narrator though
