About this listen

It began with a phone call.... Has he now made a promise he can't keep? A gripping Myron Bolitar novel from the Sunday Times best-selling author of Six Years.

The two a.m. phone call is from a young, frightened, lost girl who has called the one adult who had promised to help her if she ever got into any trouble: Myron Bolitar. But his help proves not to be enough. He picks her up from a cold street corner and - against his better judgment - is persuaded to drop her at an unknown address. This is a mistake that he lives to regret, for Aimee Biel's final wave from a darkened porch turns out to be the last time anyone will see her....

Driven by guilt and the desperation of her family, Myron decides to break his vow of six years and get involved in the search. But his past will not be buried so easily...and Myron must decide once and for all what he will stand up for if he is to have any hope of rescuing both Aimee and himself.

couldn't have asked for a better narrator
although he did repeat half a sentence somewhere
story was a bit slow to get into, only started getting the hang of it by chapter 5
sat in the car in front of my house listening until the final reveal

exceptional as usual

I liked the performance! the voice shifts from male to female, dialogues and narrations difference. Also is classic for Coben to swift the plot so obviously this is what happens here. Nice and easy listening.

I loved this story and excellent narration. I’m knew to Harlan Coben’s book but now hooked

Great story and spot on narration

Really enjoyed this and think that any future screen production of this should have Channing Tatum in the lead role. My only comment and it’s by no way a criticism is that I found the very last chapter a bit too far fetched and I would preferred it to end sooner but I can understand why the author did it too but…have a listen and see what you think.

Good but…

Brilliant listen once again.
I was almost put off by a review that said the narrator spoiled it. It did no such thing. Well narrated and I loved his portrayal of Win.

I'm Glad I Tried It
