I’m so happy Sophia found her Happily Ever After. She always seemed so well put together and happy with the family she had just started. You just never know what goes on behind closed doors. In her moment of need Carson was there, he was the support she needed and later the reminder of a terrible day. As she recovered from the emotional wounds, she became ready to feel again and Carson was happy to oblige, overcoming his own personal trauma.
I loved Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke’s performance. It was soo good, so deep I could feel it.

One devastating night has changed the future that Sophie had planned, and she is struggling to pick up the pieces. Rather than dancing she has opened a dance studio and is focused on protecting her twin daughters Mia and Nora. On a rare night out, she sees Carson and although she isn’t ready to start anything with anyone she wonders if one night with help will help her move on.

Carson will do anything for those he cares about and from the moment that he saw Sophie at her most vulnerable he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about. Since he is in business with her brothers he knows that he should keep his distance however he can’t deny his feelings for her despite the consequences it might bring.

Both Carson and Sophie bear the emotional scars of the past which does cause some turmoil and there is the also the danger lurking in the shadows that is never far away. The romance between them is enchanting, the twins are adorable and both their families play a large part in their story as they fight for the happiness they deserve. The narrators were a perfect choice as Jason Clarke allows you to feel the conflict that Carson is feeling while Emma Wilder allow you to feel how Sophie doesn’t allow her past to define her.

All of these related series are fun, and to be able to follow each of their stories over time is great. Already looking forwards to the next one 😁

Pretend It's Forever, Was a heartfelt story that captivated my emotions from the prologue. Sophia had endured so much at the hands of her ex and Carson was the perfect one to help her move forward and love again. I adored the relationship Carson had with Sophia's twins and how quickly he became protective of them. This was a fast paced story and overall it worked for them, but I had wished we had a little more time with Sophia and Carson and building their relationship. The Cage family series is one I would highly recommend.

Narrators Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke gave wonderful dual performanaces. Those hard moments were felt intensely just like the happy ones. This was a great listen with characters I thoroughly enjoyed and narration that brought the story to life.
