Pebble power

An amusing short story made hilarious comedy by the deliciously outrageous narration of Steve White. Galactic Emperor Jarrl, blocked from defeating his arch nemesis, has devised a way to remove the immovable object. Now, after a forever of planning, the moment has almost arrived ...0 An explosion of fun from this delightful download. Only trouble - too quickly over. Thank you, Mr.Dalhousie and Mr.White, for making me laugh.

Good short

Aside literally laughing out loud at the Emperor sounding like Dr Claw from Inspector Gadget, I enjoyed this short. Can't wait to hear the rest of the story.

Different from the other Press any Key story

There are two Press Any Key stories, the one in regards to the Earth is a tad more serious than this one seems to be. Here is a perfect union of a narrator who knows how to take the subject he is reading and amp it up. The story itself is about an alien Emperor, and the sole object that stands in the way of his ruling everything. Sometimes I wonder if people understand the term mutually assured destruction, let alone aliens. The narration alone is worth the price of this story as White provides some of the best voices I've ever heard in an audiobook. That isn't to detract from the writing, no no no. Saoulidis provides a great story, but it is the meshing of the two that really bring this thing to life. Even though I did receive a promo code for this review it in no way influenced my considerations of the material, and in fact, inspired me to be more honest. In fact, getting a code generally makes me harsher as a reviewer as I am more often concerned what someone like Me will decide based on my review.

Cute at times funny listen

Any additional comments?

This was a cute very short story at times very funny. There are lessons to be learn here do not over think yourself, be careful when you do press the button, always have your equipment checked over and make sure it is in good working order. The author gives you some very good characters one wanting power and is willing to die to get it and the other just wanting to live on his little planet.

Mr. White as narrator blows it out of the water, it is a shame this is so short I really got into his voices and then it was over. His characters are well thought out with many different tones that make this a delight to listen. I found myself laughing not so much at the story but the voices he came up with. He really is a very talented narrator. This might be short but it gives the narrator just enough time to really show off his talents and just what he can do with his voices. I would enjoy listening to some a little longer to really get the full effect he brings to the listen.

The author does have a great plot with action in this short little read. I think it would have been better if it had been longer. For the type of story it was really a great little story he packs a lot into just a few minutes. There isn’t a lot you can say without giving the story away so I will just give you the authors summary.

For Being Short, This is Funny

The Galactic Emperor Jarrl is the Ruler of Jarrlaxian, a small planet in the galaxy. I think in this story, the Universe is small. Whether it is or not, this was indeed a fun listen albeit short. I hope George Saoulidis writes more.

Steve White was rather funny. I liked all his different voices and sound effects. He did a good job narrating. Hope to hear more from him as well.

Audiobook received in exchange for my honest review.

Was okay

I received this book for free at my request but the opinion is of my own. I felt there could have been a little more. I understand it’s a short story but didn’t feel that it reached all the points it could have. Seemed the end came too fast and wasn’t enough action to move forward.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely

Absolute power corrupts absolutely has never been so true as in this great story. 2 powers wage a war against each other. There is no middle ground. One power must end. One side created a weapon of such destructive capability that it puts the Star Wars Death Star to shame. What one must always realize is that the universe craves balance. And when out of balance it will seek to right itself. Sometimes these take great acts of upheaval, other times it could merely be a micro-meteor. Loved this quick listen.
