What a ride! A fantastic, new to me Author, with a captivating mystery full of the type of magic I love and one of my absolute favourite narrator, together for what has been an amazing experience. It is one of those titles that you don't want to finish too fast, but can't wait to see what happens next. So glad that there is more to enjoy.
Samantha Norbury is incredible in giving life to such a cast of so many different characters, making me forget that is a woman show. Highly recommended!!

Witches, ghosts and familiars, a lovely story beautifully told by the narrator. I really enjoy it. Finished it in less that 24 hours. I’d highly recommend it if you’re wanting something nice to read.

Really enjoyed how the different characters stories evolved throughout the book, and they were complex and layered like real people. I don’t want to say too much and give anything away. I think the narrator did a great job of mirroring this character development within her own delivery and I felt like you could hear the changes in the characters through her voice. A smooth and easy listen perfect to pop in to keep you entertained whilst doing jobs but with enough twists and turns to keep you engaged. Great little rainy day listen.

I utterly adored this book and all the characters. I feel like the mystery was well written keeping it a secret for most of the book, and afterwards you can see even more clues. The characters are a lovely mix of fun and kooky , and it's got a cat ! I mean honestly any book with a talking cat is already starting out well! I feel like this series added a lot of depth to the characters ,and for those listening the narrator is awesome and makes the whole thing go so quickly!

The characters were a fantastic cast and the narrator had a lovely 😍 voice!

I’ve just finished listening to Practical Potions and Premeditated Murder and I am itching for the next book already. This was my first time diving into a story by Wren Jones, and it was such a treat. Wrens way of writing is absolutely beautiful, the perfect blend of mystery, and charm. I listened to the audiobook version narrated by Samantha Norbury and the way Samantha narrates is simply stunning. Her voice brought so much life and emotion to every character, making the experience even more impressive. It’s definitely been an amazing read and the perfect opening book to what I now know is going to be a fantastic series. If you’re looking for a cozy mystery with a magical twist that you can really lose yourself in, this is the one
