About this listen

Be careful what you wish for. Alan is a would-be author whose failure to launch has stressed his relationship with his wife to a critical breaking point. Lost in his own frustrations, musings and self-pity, Alan is all but oblivious to the rising threat to the health and safety to those closest to him. Even as the spreading horror comes knocking on their apartment door, Alan slides further and further into his obsession.

A writer tries to finish his book, not noting that the world is dissolving into chaos around him after the outbreak of a deadly virus. I'm not sure which was scarier, the virus ripping through the streets, decimating the population, or the writer's callous, sociopathic self-absorption. It takes talent to write a character so vile! Highly recommended book, the reading of it was great too

Disturbing in many ways
