About this listen

Pollyanna, an expert at her favorite "Glad Game" of always looking at the bright side in her numerous trials, is one of the most popular and enduring characters in all of children's literature.

As Pollyanna arrives in Beldingsville to live with her strict and dutiful maiden aunt, she exclaims, "Oh, Aunt Polly, I don't know how to be glad enough that you let me come to live with you!" And from this point she begins to bring cheer into everybody's life, including the sick, the lonely, and the just plain miserable. All are transformed until one day when something so terrible happens that even Pollyanna doesn't know how to feel glad anymore.

What a delight to find a childhood favourite being narrated so well. I recently had the pleasure of listening to the audible book version of "Pollyanna", and I have to say, the narration was outstanding. The narrator did an excellent job of capturing the essence of each character and bringing the story to life.

One of the standout qualities of the narration was the way the narrator was able to convey the emotions and attitudes of each character through their voice. Whether it was the sunny and optimistic Pollyanna, or the stern and disapproving Aunt Polly, each character's voice was distinctive and conveyed their unique personality traits.

Wonderful narration of a well loved book

Although supposedly a child's book, I have much enjoyed this as an adult. Recommended.

A classic

Up there with Anne of Green Gables, heard about this Pollyanna all my life but thought too silly to bother with. At 59 so “glad” I have Polly Anna in my imagination now.

Every little girl and lady should read this 😻

I enjoyed this book. The only fault i found was that, the voice of the young were old. which spoilt it a little. It would be difficult to make it any other way
