Summary

A classic of children's literature! The book's success led to Porter writing a sequel, Pollyanna Grows Up. Eleven more Pollyanna sequels, known as "Glad Books", were later published. One of my favourite childhood reads, but so appallingly read

Such a lovely story, which I first read over 50 years ago , in my early teens. This recording is spoilt by the dreadful reading. Unnecessarily jerky, with punctuation wrongly expressed, leading sometimes to misunderstanding of a passage. Reader is clearly a stranger to reading aloud.
Disappointing.
