Poison Shy, performed convincingly by the gritty veteran Roy Samuelson, is a fast-paced, oddly funny thrill of an audiobook that follows Brandon through a dark world of backstreets and deception. Brandon is both fascinated and repulsed by Melanie who, along with her unrepressed sexual ways, has a penchant for petty crime. It’s a habit, however, that Brandon quickly learns might lead unthinkable danger.
