Rarely the narrator's character voices would blend together and I was momentarily unsure who was speaking.

I enjoyed the complex web of intrigue and social status, making it very different from a modern day mystery.

Didn’t really know what this was going to be like but as I loved the L5R setting thought I would give it a go. Fair to say I am really glad I did as this was a brilliant story. Really interesting and engaging characters and superb atmosphere and world building. The audio reading was also very well done. Highly recommended.
