About this listen

Hate mail was one thing. This was quite another.

Radio-talk-show host Eve Reilly is used to backlash from her pot-stirring on-air commentary and interviews. But now it seems a disgruntled listener is resorting to more than angry words to express their displeasure. When a suspicious package arrives on her doorstep, Eve turns to law enforcement for help.

Police Detective Brent Lange can't find any evidence to link the string of unsettling incidents that follows, but he's convinced they're connected. As the harassment grows more menacing, it becomes clear someone wants Eves voice silenced - permanently.

But unless he can track down her elusive foe, the gutsy woman who is willing to take risks for what she believes and who is swiftly winning his heart may not survive.

Another good audio book from Irene and Threrse. The basic plot was similar to the last book of hers that I listened to but this didn’t spoil the experience

Enjoyable

Whilst I found the religious connotations a bit much the political idealism that all things republican are good with the inference being that democratic are bad was too much. I won’t read anymore from this author.

A load of propaganda

I’m not sure I’ll read any more from this author. While I can handle the mild “give your worries to God” and encouraging church going (as that’s just life for some) I’m quite uncomfortable with the political subtext of right wing ideology and republican = good, democrat = bad insinuations. While I’m happy to read books where the author is neutral and commentary is balanced, or even nuanced, the authors bias was showing a bit too much here. I listened to the whole book as I didn’t want to misjudge, but honestly my discomfort is real. Note: I went down a rabbit hole of Google searching after this and discovered that more violence is committed by right wing groups than left wing in the US. I feel the author may have benefitted from a neutral editor.

Hmmm political agenda was too loud

I'm in the UK , but the US political propaganda in this book was just too much for me . I can go through the book and be ok with all the God and religion references but adding politics. Yeah too much. Listened to a few books from her but this will be my last .

The worst so far from this author.
