Summary

Justice always comes.

Claire Vetra is looking for two men. The first man she’ll kill. The second man she’ll also kill - after she makes him watch as she destroys everything he’s built.

This is only the start of Claire's revenge against the World Alliance Order, which held her hostage for a year and subjected her to live human testing in the name of medical science. But when Claire begins to unravel her past, she discovers that unlocking the memories of what happened to her might destroy the remaining shreds of her sanity.

Claire Seeking Revenge

Claire, a strong woman and setting out for revenge against World Alliance Order, and the men who subject her to the experiments. Of what they did because she was gifted. A good thriller, the audio brought was good bring the story and emotions of Clare. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Great Story

This book was awesome! I just love the mans voice! The woman is great too, but Steve West’s voice is buttery. It makes listening pretty easy and with a thrilling storyline it is hard to stop listening! Enjoy!

Abuse triggers

*this story has flashbacks of abuse; physical, mental, rape, starvation, isolation* Story: 4 stars This story is well-written and impelling. Claire has good reason to try to get revenge on her abusers. Luckily for us readers/listenters, the abuse comes in the form of flash-backs interspersed by periods of time when Claire is well... I don't have abuse triggers, but still found the evil forced upon this woman to be upsetting. That said, this is a thriller, which is not my usual genre. Claire is a genius and has been well-trained to exact her revenge, though, and we care deeply about her success. Paul's character arc is rather shallow and slightly unbelievable, I wish more chapters had been devoted to his evolution from brainwashed/manipulated son, to thinking-for-himself/developing-a-conscience man. Narration: 5 stars I loved the two narrators! I've listened to other books that use this dual narration idea and love it when audiobooks do this! Both were extremely talented voice actors. Ms. Vacker as Claire had many more chapters to read than Mr. West as Paul (as noted above, I wish Paul had more chapters). Both were believable and acted brought their characters to life. I'd happily listen to either or both again!
